That's the truth. I was talking to two of my coworkers were talking earlier -- one of them, a rather flamboyent gay guy incidentally, is looking to buy a house. He's talking about how great the Carolinas are and how much cheaper and just plain nicer the south is. I've never discussed politics with him, but I'm assuming a gay dude from Boston is probably pretty far left.
He'll feel right at home in Asheville, Charlotte or Raleigh. Most of the rest of the state? Not so much.
Please tell your coworker that the carolinas are a horrible place to live.
The heat and humidity will kill you. Mosquitoes are horrific and will strip the skin off a body in one night.
The locals are pure redneck and hunt “outsiders” at night. The Hillbillies are something out of a horror film.
There is no culture, the food sucks and everyone is fighting everyone else.
Just trying to help. Please pass it on.
He’ll probably end up in Asheville. Arts, you know.
