You nailed it. THAT is what makes Sessions special. He is beyond reproach, and that is why he is so strikingly opposite from previous AGs.

If you want to argue it is idealism to expect the AG to be independent, go ahead. You get the government you deserve, and the American people deserved to preceding AGs because they voted for their POTUS. Personally, I see room for a constitutional amendment removing the AG from POTUS nomination. But the American people should expect an AG to operate from a framework of ethics, and not be a hatchet man for POTUS.

If Trump wants to fire the mother scooter, then he should stop being a pussy and do it. But his childish approach of publicly humiliating a man without cause is straight BS. We deserve better representation.

We couldn’t disagree more about Sessions. The person you report to is your boss, period. Sessions reports to Trump. That means Sessions is not a maverick who gets to do anything he wants. Rather, his priorities should reflect the administration’s priorities, or he should look for another job.

Trump didn’t campaign on cracking down on marijuana or increasing civil asset seizures. He DID campaign on draining the swamp. Sessions is giving the swamp a wide birth while making it easier for the government to seize private property absent even charges being filed, much less a trial.

There is no integrity in pursuing personal hobby horses while the swamp destroys Trump and his family. That is the opposite of integrity. Sessions is fiddling while the real criminals in the deep state burn the Trump administration to the ground. He should resign—the sooner the better.

Sessions is not above reproach. You all think that because he’s small and speaks with a little Ashley Wilkes accent and has the demeanor of Olivia DeHaviland in GWTW, he’s Atticus Finch on steroids.

This is war. When you do total war, you certainly lose things that are good and can never be regained. But by not having total war, we are going to lose the entire country.
