I think Twitter is the only way to tell what the President honestly thinks on any given topic. He himself has said that he views it as his way to reach out directly to the American people without the filter and the bias of the media, so I don't see him using it to lie or to misdirect. If we can't believe what he says on Twitter then how can be believe anything? And the President of all people knows that.
This is war...and Trump is nothing if not an ardent follower of The Art of War.
Trump is also a man who says what he believes. He holds nothing back. His statements on Sessions have to be what he really thinks. I don't think it's a ruse. And if Session doesn't take the hint, do the honorable thing, and resign then the President can't let that just hang there. So if this is war then it's a war for who is in charge here, Trump or Sessions. The gauntlet has been thrown and the President can't just let it lie there. He has to take actions and fire him.
“I’d say President Trump is putting all this nonsense out there to hide what is really going on here in terms of AG Sessions.”
I’ve been hoping that’s the story for a few weeks now. I am hoping to see a mile-long perp walk soon.
Now you say "-- He gave his reasons... I just disagree that Trump should be doing drip drip attacks on Sessions on Twitter --"
Obviously, two different issues. If you'd said "I don't think he should do this on twitter" in the first place, I'd not have challenged your remark.
This is a strategic unforced error.
Yes, why should I care about Jeff Sessions? Personally, I never was a fan of his Ashley Wilkes demeanor which came across as...Ashley Wilkes-like.
It’s maddening. Then you have a certain somebody who drags in Kushner even though this has nothing to do with anything!
Wow, I can see from that Trump quote why he’s pizzed!
Funny you should ask that...Just a few high spots

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Announces the Department of Justices Renewed Commitment to Criminal Immigration Enforcement
Attorney General Jeff Sessions today spoke to Customs and Border Protection personnel at the United States-Mexico border in Nogales, Arizona.
In his remarks, the Attorney General announced that he has issued the attached memo to United States Attorneys that mandates the prioritization of criminal immigration enforcement. The memo directs federal prosecutors to focus on particular offenses that, if aggressively charged and prosecuted, can help prevent and deter illegal immigration.
Additionally, the Attorney General revealed that the Department of Justice will add 50 more immigration judges to the bench this year and 75 next year. He also highlighted the Department’s plan to streamline its hiring of judges, reflecting the dire need to reduce the backlogs in our immigration courts.

You're just making stuff up. Everyone who half paid attention to the transition period, Sessions confirmation, and the weeks from then until he recused on March 2 knew that recusal was on the table. It was in the news constantly, with Dims and Rinos from every direction calling for recusal.
Fraternal police..fop has issued a statement in favor of sessions
Yes, DJT’s actions are indeed, BS. Go back and look at all my posts for DJT. My wife went door-knocking with Ivanka. But this is a dick move.
exactly right....ive never seen such an attack on a sitting President...cant people dont see whats happening. Sessions never should have accepted the job...hes too old and hes scared stiff of the media. Trump is taking these bastards on single handedly and his AG says Kamala Harris makes him nervous...good lord. Hes a nice guy, but this is different time we live in. Cant believe Trump is being taken down over a crime that doesnt even exist.
That Will88 sounds like a democrat or a Soros paid bot to me.
No, it’s a monumental decision with implications across the board. Sessions could make that decision on his own, but he owed his boss the minimal courtesy of an advance notice.
We never believed Obama when he said the first he heard of something was on the news. The first Trump hears of something this major *shouldn’t* be on the news.
This is rich... dems trying to save sessions job by not going into recess
President Trump is the Master when it comes to trolling, I will keep a good thought.
Wow..interesting story..bet that was a highlight for her.
Please. The MSM/Dems babbling about something doesn’t mean it’s on the table. It’s not at that point unless and until Sessions starts to seriously consider it. As soon as he’d made his decision, he owed Trump the basic and nominal courtesy of a phone call. Period.
But the impetus is that Sessions (or any head of justice) can fire Mueller and Trump’s firing Sessions is a way of installing a lead that WILL.
Again - it’s a matter of political cover.
I know how you feel, and Sessions was my senator and I wasn't thrilled to see him leave the senate, and now this.
And I've actually supported Trump since 2011 when I heard his stance on several issues like trade and immigration, I think in a CPAC speech. Started a thread about it in 2011. I was more in agreement with his issues than any candidate in my lifetime.
' I knew he had huge talents and huge flaws, but I hoped the flaws would become less and less evident if he won. This has not been a fun week.
