CARLISLE, Ohio – An 18-year-old Ohio cheerleader has been charged with killing and burying her newborn baby.

The Dayton Daily News reported that Brooke Skylar Richardson faces charges of reckless homicide in connection to the incident.

The remains of the infant were found buried in the suspect’s backyard in Carlisle, Ohio last week. The remains were reportedly found after a tip from a doctor’s office.

“Yes, we should pray for lost souls. Jesus didn’t die just for the nice, law-abiding people; He died for all of us.”

I do not disagree, but our justice system is blind, and murder is murder.

Yes, but from all accounts the accused is 18 years of age and not subject to juvenile detention.

BTW-I have worked with youth in a juvenile detention center and psychiatric hospital.

There were some otherwise good kids there, but others who raped and murdered.

Those who rape and murder do usually become upstanding citizens.

Her mistake was in not getting PP to murder the infant for her. They’re legal, you know.

“She didn’t drink. She wasn’t a partier or smoker,” said Charles Rittgers, the suspect’s attorney, according to the Dayton Daily News. “By all measures, a very good girl who helped children… She’s by all means a very good person.”

Sometimes lawyers should just keep their mouths shut. A "very good girl who helped children"?

“By all measures, a very good girl who helped children… “

The media does not report when Brook Skylar helps children, but as soon as she murders a baby and buries that dead baby in a shallow grave, the media is all over the story.

Her attorney is doing his job and she does deserve good representation.

...except for that one time when she murdered a newborn baby.

Ah, if only this child had “MD” following her name this would be a non-story.

She is not a child, she is an adult and culpable for her actions.

Quick Google. Not going to put the picture on here because she is guilty.

I’ll pray that she repents and accepts the forgiveness found in Christ.

But, assuming these accusations are true, she’s still a murderer.

Agree, but your leaving out one important component, an abortion culture that leads the weak minded to the next logical step - rationalizing a justification for infanticide.

In this way abortion is like a gateway drug, and it works that way even without ever having an abortion yourself, because it’s in the culture and therefore infects the minds of all but those who diligently guard against it.

Suppose she wanted to keep the baby and it was her boyfriend, the father, who did this unspeakable act while she was away because HE did not want to be burdened. ZERO sympathy from anyone and the boyfriend would do hard time as he should.

My point is that I fail to see how her act is any different, and she should be just as harshly punished as th father would be in the same circumstance.

You left off your sarcasm tag. I hope you are not advocating for abortion.

Whether legal or not, God will hold murderers accountable.

Praying for a soul does not mean excusing someone from punishment for a crime.
