He was my first choice. I was surprised when Sessions was named.
1. He was a loyal Trump supported in the campaign (and one of the only ones to get on TV in the days after the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape was released), but anyone who had seen him in action over the years could tell that his age was really starting to become a factor for him.
2. I thought it highly unlikely that he'd give up his successful security consulting business to take on a role in the public sector at this stage of his life.
