Abbas spoke on Sunday about his decision to sever ties with Israel until it reverses its decision to place metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, saying that his decision includes the security coordination with the Jewish state. "We announced an unequivocal stance, especially regarding the security coordination," Abbas said.
"This decision is not at all easy, but the Israelis ought to know that they are going to be the ones who will ultimately lose, because we do a lot to defend their security and ours. We are convinced that terror must be fought everywhere, but the magnometers must be removed"

How can a camera spot a weapon hidden under voluminous clothing? I don't see how. And of course the moslems don't like cameras either. Anything that inhibits their ability to kill Jews they will reject.
The Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, rejected even this solution however, saying no security option would be accepted. “All the religious authorities in Jerusalem are opposed to new Israeli security measures at al-Aksa mosque,” Hussein told Channel 10. “The situation must return to what it was previously. Muslim worshipers must be able to enter all the gates with total freedom and without any security methods or obstacles.”
Abbas continues openly, with support of many world leaders, to demand the suicide of Israel. It’s about time he met his 72 virgins.
That Security Co-ordination has apparently been somewhat ineffective. Or perhaps Abbas’ side of it connived to get the guns into the Temple area. A deal to co-operate on security between a police department and MS-13 in Los Angeles would be a similar situation, I think.
Abbas needs to be put down like a rabid dog.
Now that they have finally taken control of the Temple Mount from the Waqf - something they should have done in ‘48, Israel is slowly succumbing back into the suicidal mode by contemplating a near totally ineffective system for a proven one.
If Israel does concede, then the musslemen can proceed to blow up the Temple Mount slaughtering as many Jews as possible placing the blame on Israel.
Absolutely Mr. Mufti, let's return to the situation before 620 AD.
The solution to this problem is so simple:
Tear down the dome and the mosque and don’t allow muslims on Temple Mount anymore.
As if Israel gives an Obama about what Abbas does.
