WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. investigators examining money laundering accusations against President Donald Trumps former campaign manager Paul Manafort hope to push him to cooperate with their probe into possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team is examining Manafort's financial and real estate records in New York as well as his involvement in Ukrainian politics, the officials said.

AAAAAAH MY EYES!!!!!!!
The stealth coup d’etat continues. I’m fed up with it.
AAAAAAH MY EYES!!!!!!!
You’re not kidin’. I’d bet she is either a lesbian or a spinster. No man could get that drunk.
That statement was that he had done nothing wrong in his relations with Manafort. Also, I do not see any mention of a lawsuit against Manafort but rather a lawsuit against AP for slander.
Heh....Salem witch trials come to mind.
Because your question in ridiculous.
There was an civil interesting case against a guy named Semion..ahem..and manafort..and firtash It was dismissed because the racketeering allegations happened in a foreign country and there was no jurisdiction
I bring this up because good ole’ manafort would probably be a treasure trove of info..if they could get him to flip.
So when did Keith Richard started to wear a dress? LOL
You aren’t looking hard enough..plenty of info out there about this character
What was the outcome?
I looked a little harder but I was slowed down because the details you posted were incirrect. The lawsuit was filed in 2008 in the Cayman Islands, not 2015.
I haven’t looked at the Virginia docket on it.
Why is my question ridiculous? It’s a very simple, straightforward question. You seem to think flipping Manafort is important. It would only be so because he has damaging information to provide Mueller regarding Trump’s activities with Russia, or he’s has nothing to offer but he’s going to lie about the same topic. I’m just wondering which you believe would be more likely?
That probably relates to the bankruptcy case. It was in Caymans..details were revealed in that case. Keep looking
The question is ridiculous because of the way you are framing it.
This is VERY bad for Trump, and America. Mueller probing thousands of personal records of every Trump associate. This is what the vile Rod Rosenstein unleashed, thanks to Sessions’ recusal. Trump should have blocked Mueller from day one because of the Comey conflict alone — fired him and Rosenstein. Now it’s too late. Mueller, the Dems and GOPe are going to use this to take Trump down. They don’t need him impeached. It’s enough to create the constant aura of “scandal” until he loses to Kamala Harris in 2020.
If he is going to look at Manfort’s involvement in Ukrainian politics then he must also look at Tad Devine’s involvement in Ukrainian politics.
Devine advised the Bernie Sanders campaign.
Both Devine and Manafort advised Yanukovych’s campaign.
Btw.if anyone wants status of case they can look for Judge Lee decisions in virginia. He is the one that allowed discovery on the case. It is a foreign case.
This involves an oligarch in a foreign case .A suit could have been filed for all kinds of reasons.
I agree.
DOJ could look into it. There are a lot of things that could and should be looked into..clinton at top of list
Threats of, as well as actual, murder of family, friends and pets have been the standard operating procedure of swamp dwellers since, well, forever. If it might get them what they want, there is nothing they won’t do, gleefully.
