This is a well prepared and thoughtful YouTube analysis of the Rev.12 "heavenly sign" connected with 12:4(b) "and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered . . ."
The beginning two verses of this chapter have been covered quite extensively for the last six years. Scottie Clarke using Stellarium in 2011 discovered the constellation alignment. Since then a small portion of the pre-trib rapturists accept it and a larger portion of the dispensationalists don't (reject the interpretation as "date setting.")The Presbyterians and Lutherans (Reformed Theology) pretty much eschew most end-time teaching.
What can explain the peculiar obscuring of this part of the night sky by NASA and Stellarium?
Why should I post Meeks’ errors on this thread then have discussion of same, when on a previous thread the man did not respond when errors were pointed out?
In the stellar exhibit the dragon is not a constellation, it is an approaching planet or companion dwarf star.
Did I misunderstand the video or is it saying that the supposedly approaching Planet X is the dragon in Revelation?
Satan absolutely hates the Pre-Tribulation Rapture the most because it signifies his soon doom.
It’s why you see even Christians fighting each other over the facts concerning it.
Preterists call God a liar every time they push their majorly flawed conclusion.
You did not mishear, that is the premise of the video.
Did I misunderstand the video or is it saying that the supposedly approaching Planet X is the dragon in Revelation?
I examine near term (fewer than 76 days from today) prophecy in detail at “The Rescue of the Bride” http://october-5-2017.com The Great Sign of the Woman appears on September 23, 2017 exactly at sunset in Jerusalem - exactly at the end of Rosh Ha Shanah, exactly at the time of the blowing of “the last trump.” [The two (2) day observance will start one day late this year.] In my opinion, this is a likely “rescue” date. We see the first evidence that the “rescue” has occurred when “The Great Multitude in White Robes” [Revelation 7:9ff] appears in the throne room of Yahuah (God) twelve (12) days later just after the opening of the Sixth Seal on October 5, 2017. These events allow us to unlock the timeline of the Book of Revelation.
Thanks for the link, MHG.

I don’t have the slightest clue as to who Meeks is.
>>So did God inspire St. John to write about a constellation using a name that hadnt even been ascribed to it yet and wouldnt be for 100 years? Why?<<
No, John referred to a great heavenly sign of a woman with 12 stars in her garland/crown, the moon at her feet, and clothed with the sun. In essence John is saying something like 2 + 2 + 2 + 5. So we are saying that John is saying “11.” You are arguing that John never would say “eleven.”
>>Things like this, attempting to set dates or eras to His return are typically from and sold for people who are miserable in their life and wish to believe desperately that He will return soon to rescue such people from the life they find so unbearable.<<
Without question there’s been a problem with date setting throughout the past 2000 years. Those who view this stellar correspondence are very wary of this. Hence, it is viewed as a day of high interest in the same way an agreement regarding the disposition of the Temple Mount would create a great interest.
Your other aspersions I will not address.
>>In the stellar exhibit the dragon is not a constellation, it is an approaching planet or companion dwarf star.<<
There is some conjecture that it is a stellar object larger than the sun which is approaching our solar system. I don’t know, but find it perplexing that Stellarium and NASA had it deliberately patched over.
>>Did I misunderstand the video or is it saying that the supposedly approaching Planet X is the dragon in Revelation?<<
Perhaps symbolically, in the same sense that the constellation of the woman represents Israel. That “Planet X” or whatever is a study in it’s own right which I haven’t followed. It is interesting in that it’s alignment is between the knees of the Woman.
He is trumps. It is to the Meeks error riddle Preterite stuff that the trumps links. Presumably it is his website.
I’ll say it straight out — preterism is despicable false doctrine.
Unfortunately, it’s creeping into mainline evangelical churches. Pathetic. They want to teach passages like Isaiah 11 allegorically. And it is infuriating to hear an otherwise decent expositor say that Christ will not LITERALLY accomplish this, that He will not literally rule from Jerusalem.
Many preterists believe that it is the Christian’s role to make this world a better, more liberal and more tolerant place — hence the justification for the rampant apostasy of lesbian pastors.
Ahem.

This is a somewhat clever attempt to create a false narrative to replace discussions of Nibiru. Now, if you hear about an incoming brown dwarf star with a huge planet, in a wide elliptical orbit, you will think, Oh right. I heard about that. Its way beyond Pluto and harmless.

You noticed this and posted about it a year ago. Pretty prescient.

Thanks. It looks impressive. I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time there.
The Star the Wisemen used was at least 2 or more years in position as Jesus was already moved out of the manger(being at least 2-3 years old) and into a “house”. Planets don’t stay in one position for any length of time and neither do star constellations. This Star stayed stubbornly over Jesus Christ until such time the wise men visited; they knew the behaviors of stellar objects so the behavior of this stellar object was so unusual they had to follow it. That is why Herod had the boys 2 years or younger killed in that region...because the stellar event was at least 2 years in duration before anyone in Judea had even noticed or had been apprised of its appearance; until the wise men told Herod about it.
So I would be careful about the whole popular notion of using planets and constellation movements to depict or to bolster the predictions of out of the ordinary historic events. The old wiseman or magi could already predict when and where alignments would occur; they knew the heavens were in motion. The heavenly body they were following showed no motion though the heavens were in motion all around it. The star still appeared through all seasons despite the fact that many stars and constellations don’t appear nightly throughout the year because the Earth has moved to a position where the sun’s light blocks the appearance of such stars or planets...or they have dipped lower below horizon (but then rise up over the Horizon to be seen again 6 months later).
But not the Star of Bethlehem....indeed it appeared to “go before them until they came upon the house where the star appeared above where the child was staying”. They had seen his star shining apparently motionless from where they were in the “East” but...Matthew 2:9”
9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stood over the place where the Child was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great delight. “
This was an unusual star....we know it was in position for at least 2 years or more. It might have taken the Magi some time to note that it did not move with the seasons the way other stars and planets did(with the exception of Polaris...even the dipper stars move nightly and have differing positions with the change of the seasons). This star did not move nightly or with the seasons...it may have taken the magi months or more to realize what was happening but when they did, they realized something momentous was happening. So they had to investigate(the same way the Babylonians investigated when they realized that God had held back the turning of the sun 6 hours for King Hezekiah)
Yet it appears when they got to Jerusalem, no one seemed aware (showing what Jesus lamented about concerning those of Israel “who did not know the time of His coming”) of the Star and of it’s importance. Yet Herod quickly grasped a possible threat to his reign and enquired as to when the star had appeared. The priests told the Magi that their prophecies spoke of the Messiah being born in Bethlehem. So thus they went and saw the child and then went home another way not returning back (being warned of God).
Herod, thus had the boy babes in the Bethlehem region killed that were 2 years and younger....why? Because the star had been in singular position for 2 years according to the magi. Heavenly bodies are normally in motion...this one wasn’t! Only when the Magi were pointed in the direction of Bethlehem did the “star” seem to “go before them until it stood over the house where Jesus was”( Bethlehem was only about 5 miles away so the star would have been practically over head anyway...funny though...only these Magi seemed to be very aware of the unusualness of this star).
“a man carrying a pitcher of water(Aquarius?) ...too much of a stretch.”!!!! Folks living in cities and towns in the Roman era often had to fetch clean water from local wells or aquaducts and bring”such pitchers” to their houses. Christ via the Holy Spirit had already set things in motion with the owner of the house to have things ready when his disciples approached to “make ready” for the rest of them. Christ was showing his ability to act independently and providentially from his disciples in ways they could not even have imagined.
As for Aquarius...Ovid had this to say...”The king of the gods was once fired with love for Phrygian Ganymede, and when that happened Jupiter found another shape preferable to his own. Wishing to turn himself into a bird, he none the less scorned to change into any save that which can carry his thunderbolts. Then without delay, beating the air on borrowed pinions, he snatched away the shepherd of Ilium, who even now mixes the winecups, and supplies Jove with nectar, to the annoyance of Juno” (Metamorphoses X 154-160). The story has strong homoerotic overtones...hence “the annoyance of Juno”
Aquarius is also a summer constellation...not one too notable in the skies of the Northern Hemisphere in the March to late April time period when Christ is thought to have been crucified and resurrected.
