The Founders used civil forfeiture- but they didn’t understand the Constitution?
Is that your position?

Or is it that the Living Constitution has changed since they wrote it?

The process is ripe for abuse but IMO it is unquestionably Constitutional because the Founders used it.

The criterion is not what the Founders did. The criterion is what the Constitution says.

No person shall be deptived of...property without due process of law.

It IS being abused. Billions of dollars are stolen from the people without ever giving them their due process. The WOD is just an excuse that people in favor of a totalitarian state use to watch your every financial transaction and take your property.
