I do not at all want to blame the victim with this question.

After hearing screaming in an alley in the dead of night, presumably a sexual assault in progress by who knows how many assailants, why would a woman run outside in her pj’s? (or fully clothed).

She had called the police; they had arrived. She had heard but not seen anything. The only useful info she had to convey was “not in front, dumbass, in the alley like I told 911 twice — BOLO for someone screaming rape”). Running outside greatly increased the odds of her suffering injury or death, at the hands of police, criminals, or crossfire.

“I do not at all want to blame the victim with this question.”

Then why are you?

ABSURD! The police would want to FIRST of all, talk to the person that called.

Have you never seen LIVE PD?

“did you call?”, “who called?”, etc.
