I agree.
I'd like to explore Trump's expectation a little bit. Assume that Sessions hadn't recused. What's Trump saying today that he expected sessions to do? Play it out, and it sounds like Trump wanted to bury an investigation.
Now, I'm of a mind that any investigation was BS from the get-go, a witch hunt initiated by Comey, Lynch, McCabe, Brennan, a few others. But there it sat, hidden from Trump and Sessions.
I understand the frustration. But I find Trump's assignment of blame to be despicable.
The President needs more education into the laws and protocol. Still not getting why he spouted off to the enemy...
For the first time in more than four decades, Donald Trump is operating in an environment where he is not in full control of what happens around him. This is one of those times where his lack of any political experience really shows — and not in a good way.
Couldn't agree more. I guess if your expectation was an AG in the mold of Holder and Lynch, thoroughly political and controlled by the President, then Trump made the mistake of nominating a man of principle, integrity, and wedded to the concept of the Rule of Law. If Trump thinks he can find an AG who will do whatever he commands, then it will be a long search for a replacement.
The reverberations of this fit of pique will be felt among his supporters. I don't think he understands how respected Sessions is. Will more resignations follow, including Steve Miller and Kris Kobach? Who will be the next scapegoat?

I don’t. When Sessions recused himself without talking to Trump I felt that it would led to a disaster that might doom the republic. The Dems are playing for blood and Sessions is playing by the old rules of honor. If Trump is impeached then we’ll have civil war and the root of that impeachment will be the Honorable Senator Sessions recusing himself.
