My sympathies and condolences to you and your family. Pancreatic cancer is one of the fastest killers in the range of cancers. I'm so sorry it happened in your family.
Governor Ducey, a conservative enough Republican, can appoint a conservative Republican to replace McCain. But McCain needs to do the right thing and resign NOW! If there is a patriotic and unselfish bone left in his body, he will resign NOW. I hope the appropriate conversations among Ducey, state GOP leaders and McCain’s handlers are going on right now.
Yes. Kennedy also had a glioblastoma, a type of malignant glioma.
My mother died of breast cancer, so I know that he will be in a lot of pain.
I just don't think he has it in him to resign. He would rather die holding onto that Senate seat..
Gov appoints replacement until the next general election. The senator elected then serves the remainder of the original term and then faces the same reelection date as the original senator.
So, election in 2018, then again four years later.
“Thank God for Obamacare....”
He’s a vet. So, he can go to a VA hospital if he wants. Per the news, the Phoenix VA is one of the worse in the country. So, doubt that he would go there sarc/
Time to retire, Senator.
Nor would I wish it upon Jane Fonda.
Prayers for him and his family.
I won’t self delete. McCain is an awful man.
He’s done lots of evil and harm to our country.
I don’t wish him dead. But I sure won’t cry.
Yes.
The local news is running it.
A very good friend’s wife is currently battling a G4 glioblastoma.
She was diagnosed last December... two golf ball size tumors were promptly removed from behind her left ear.
It has now been 8 months of chemo and some radiation. She is now at the point where dizziness and weakness prevent her from leaving the house unless she is having an especially good day.
She is a good person through and through.
Her name is Shirley. Say a few kind words for her if you will.
I may disagree with this man on a number of political issues, but my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. This is a horrible diagnosis and a terrible way to go out. I’ve experienced one dear friend go through it and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. May God’s mercy rain down upon John Mcain
Yeah wait till he croaks for petes sake
He retired from the navy so he hopefully is using his tricare. Great deserved insurance.
Don’t know anything about Ducey but I like what I read here.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=21&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwibk6SqzpbVAhVDrD4KHU9jDwcQFgiQATAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nationalreview.com%2Fmagazine%2F2016-06-27-0100%2Fdoug-ducey-arizona-governor-conservative-reform&usg=AFQjCNHvKnrOu6C_90P4_IocJrIuUOTnWw
Chemotherapy may spur healthy cells in the neighborhood to release a compound that stimulates cancer growth, eventually leading to treatment resistance. Senator McCain may be living on borrowed time.
