And their kickbacks, and their own exemptions, and yet more government expansion/intrusion into the lives of free citizens. If they couldn't make more laws and endlessly expand government, they'd be out of their cushy “public service” jobs, where everyone leaves as a millionaire, no matter how they came in. The “little people” would see that all of this government and regulation was never necessary to run a country, if you just want to run it fairly.
