Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a leading conservative in the U.S. Senate and driving force on the healthcare debate that has played out this year, told Breitbart News exclusively on Tuesday he is pleased that the U.S. Senate is going to move forward on efforts to pass a clean partial repeal of Obamacare. Paul, one of the four GOP U.S. Senators who publicly opposed the Senate health bill that aimed to simultaneously repeal and replace Obamacare leading to its eventual demise, has been driving debate on healthcare in the U.S. Congress.
In the wake of the Senate bills ultimate failure on Monday night, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump both publicly backed the idea hes been pushing publicly for months now: That Congress should pass a clean repeal of Obamacare now, the bill they did in fact pass in 2015, then worry about the replacement later. Former President Barack Obama vetoed that bill then, but President Trump would sign it.
Im encouraged that were moving towards a clean repeal, Paul told Breitbart News. Ive been advocating for some time that an insurance company bailout is not what we should be voting on. So now weve gotten rid of the insurance company bailout and were going to vote on what we voted on in 2015...."

You wouldn't be thinking of Paul Ryan, would you? THAT description fits HIM very well.
Who writes this sh*t, the politicians PR men? These people in D.C. have only been in command of corruption and chaos for decades. They've screwed up everything in every direction. I guess they think everyone forgot...
Bears repeating:
“Ive been advocating for some time that an insurance company bailout is not what we should be voting on.....”
Get the Insurance Companies OUT of our pockets. Open up the free market by dissolving State Market Boundaries! Then hit tort reform, the rest will take care of itself.
Keep Obamacare and let the market offer all sorts of plans people actually want and can afford. Remove state border restrictions and let demand for the best plans run the market. People will decide what they want and the rest will have no customers.
Exactly. I don’t see Rand Paul as an enemy of DJT. He’s just FOR the Constitution.
If he and DJT would just work together for a full repeal, it would be great.
They both need to expose the GOPe as Uniparty in collusion with the Dems. DJT needs to define it so the average person can clearly see the only way to Drain the Swamp is find and endorse (Trump Seal of Approval) primary candidates to flush out the GOPe. It’s the last hope for working within the system.
Amen!
“I dont see Rand Paul as an enemy of DJT. Hes just FOR the Constitution.”
I am curious what article(s) of the Constitution, you believe deal with health care, in America?
There is no power authorized by the Constitution to the Federal Gov’t over healthcare.
Where did you get that story? CNN? MSNBC? Moran opposed the crap sandwich Senate bill, supported voting for repeal-only:

It is the usual squishy RINOs who wll not even support bringing the repeal-only version up for discussion/vote. They don’t want it on record that they support keeping Obamacare as long as their name is on it.
“There is no power authorized by the Constitution to the Federal Govt over healthcare.”
There is no power authorized by the Constitution to the Federal Govt over air and space travel, pharmaceuticals, radio, television, public health safety, nuclear power, etc.
When the fedgov came into the picture,, paying medical bills for veterans, retirees, poor etc. they got involved, like it or not.
Clocks generally don’t go backwards, very well.
I have been listening to the radio in the last hour, and I heard BOTH Trump and Cruz reference Repeal AND Replace.
“DJT needs to define it so the average person can clearly see the only way to Drain the Swamp is find and endorse (Trump Seal of Approval) primary candidates to flush out the GOPe. Its the last hope for working within the system.”
He has the ability and the pulpit to motivate people to action that would ensure his re-election and the election of candidates who support the Constitution.
Unfortunately, DJT seems to keep hitching his horse to the wrong wagons, starting with Reince Priebus.

All those things you mentioned are not authorized by the Constitution. That is a fact.
The fact that the Feds fund those things without the authorization by the People via a lawful amendment is tyranny.
George Washington warned us against such usurpations, even when they are instruments of good. He said to let there be NO CHANGE by usurpation.
If we can’t “go backwards” and restore our Constitutional Republic, then what’s the point of a free republic?
There are two names that could change the debate tomorrow.
Sen. Robert Menendez was indicted in April 2015; he was accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in improper gifts and campaign contributions as bribes in exchange for using his office to help Melgen, a wealthy Florida ophthalmologist and longtime friend and financial backer. According to the indictment, Menendez received nearly $1 million worth of gifts and campaign contributions from Melgen.
The appeals court has turned him down. His only option to get the charges thrown out pre-trial is to ask the Supreme Court to weigh in. Other than that, he goes to trial.
The court has refused his request to delay his trial until after the election. And if he resigns or is forced out while Christie is governor, he could be replaced by a Republican.
The other senator is John McCain, who could unpredictably resign “for health reasons”. AZ has a Republican governor who would likely appoint a much better replacement.
Before reading below. I agree.
repeal and replace
“repeal then replace”
two different animals. He didn’t like the current replacement, nor do I.
A full repeal needs to be voted on, not pulled due to insufficient votes, because Republicans who are against it need to vote against it on the record.
