You could be correct with your theory. However, if it is stated as a fact, source it.

Seems to me, you are really stating an opinion or a theory—not a fact...way to much of that goes on here—if it is an opinion or theory, wonderful—may come to be proven as a fact.

Just state as theory or opinion if cannot substantiate it as fact. Cuts down on misinformation and internet rumors.
