GOP Sens. Jerry Moran (Kansas) and Mike Lee (Utah) announced on Monday night they will not support taking up a bill repealing and replacing ObamaCare, effectively blocking the legislation.

"This closed-door process has yielded the [bill], which fails to repeal the Affordable Care Act or address healthcare’s rising costs. For the same reasons I could not support the previous version of this bill, I cannot support this one," Moran said in a statement.

Lee added on Twitter that "my colleague @JerryMoran and I will not support the MTP to this version of BCRA."

>>>So when obozocare goes belly up, who gets blamed? The Democrats will.

But what about promises like this that the President made?

“Together we’re going to deliver real change that once again puts Americans first,” Trump said at an October rally in Florida. “That begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as Obamacare…You’re going to have such great health care, at a tiny fraction of the cost—and it’s going to be so easy.”

Lol, you’re probably right. And under a R House, Senate and White House.

Who could have predicted that. Then the dims can vote happily for Trump in 2020 .

[Repeal was never in the mix.
The GOP wants to keep 80% of Obamacare.]

Whatever their corporate donors want. Everyone else can go screw.

Trump will be blamed, already seeing it. ‘The pharmacy won't let me have x for free, it's all because Trump cut Medicare...’

‘Trump steals from the poor to give it to his rich friends.’

Two things I've actually had patients tell me on transit; when I pointed out the obvious - Trump actually hasn't changed an inch of Obamacare, the near universal answer is: Well, he's going to, I heard it on the news.

Honestly, California isn't a lost cause, though the people I transport are using a ‘free’ service and about 20% of them want it to be their personal taxi service as well, so not exactly the best snapshot; but the nightly news (and CNN) is hurting Trump each and every day with their constant lies.

I wish this would happen. He should do that with social security, too!

That’s because the bill never really killed Obamacare so the bill sorta sucked anyway..the GOP had 8 years to put together something SIMPLE instead they make it more freakin difficult

“How bout a straight repeal?”

It would lose by a very wide margin. Too many Swamp Republicans who would never do away with an entitlement.

In local elections, but on tv the Republicans weren’t talking about Obamacare.

But what about promises like this that the President made?

He can make all the promises he want. But if Congress won't do their jobs, how is he to blame? The ball is in Congress' court. All Trump can do is ask.

“The voters of this country want Obamacare to be repealed. The Republican party is headed for the trashcan if they cannot keep their promise to repeal that awful, awful law.”

Actually the voters of the country, mostly, want “free” sh-t, or sh-t someone else pays for...oh, and they want a rockin and rollin economy, as much as those two things tend to not go together.

What the R’s should have done is hold town halls for months, promoting free market health care. Only problem is, R’s have been promoting the opposite for so long that it would not be believable. Another problem is that the Soros squads would try to disrupt. There would need to be a way to restrict the radical left.

Virtually all of the incumbents need to go, to be replaced by committed conservatives and constitutionalists.

Good for Moran and Lee, and Rand Paul, too - they are right on this. This latest “replacement” monstrosity stinks as it makes Obamacare permanent with a few temporary changes that may be easily reversed later. Just repeal the bad law now, and then everyone will want a hand in forging its necessary replacement. If the GOP wanted to kill Obamacare it would pass the same Repeal bill that it repeatedly advanced under the cover of Obama’s veto. Lying bastards.
