Retired Green Beret Warns: “There Could Be A Nuclear Strike Against The United States Coming Soon"

For approximately the past five years, the Mainstream Media (MSM) and the Obama-administration supported research “think-tanks” for monitoring the North Korean situation have had a field day. They consistently (along with the brain-dead public’s crowds of naysayers) and intentionally understated the capabilities of North Korea. The experts in the field (such as Dr. Peter V. Pry, Admiral Bill Gortney, General Curtis Scapparotti) have not been able to be denied; however, they have been marginalized and made to seem to be “in conflict” with the prevailing, majority “view.” The “tyranny of the majority,” in this case, was needed to accomplish the objectives of the Obama administration: appear to be “strong” on sanctions, and “aloof” with diplomacy, i.e., Barack Hussein Obama II’s not “lowering” himself to deal with North Korea diplomatically.

The true objective of Obama regarding North Korea was to pursue a laissez-faire policy and allow North Korea to progress, becoming a viable threat, as it is today.

All of this was deliberately planned by Obama and his handlers. As far back as April 7, 2015, Admiral Bill Gortney (the former commander of North American Aerospace Defense, a.k.a. NORAD) gave a press conference in which he warned of North Korea’s capabilities with an ICBM, an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile…warned that North Korea could strike the United States with a nuclear warhead on an ICBM…he stated this in 2015. Six months prior, in October of 2014 Admiral Gortney stated that North Korea had nuclear weapons, had miniaturization capabilities, and could place them on missiles that could reach the continental United States.

Altitude and enhanced gamma creation - not necessarily power related. A relatively small device with lots of gamma more effective than larger conventional nuke

“If you don’t believe an emp is possible or even a threat I would like to hear some arguments that go beyond this.”

Science doesn’t work that way.

Why don’t you prove that it is possible instead of coming up with some childish fantasy then demanding others prove you wrong.

“The USA and Russia have tested EMP weapons, perhaps we should ask them if the weapon is a serious threat to a large part of the country.”

Tested, but neither have them in inventory. Seems to say they weren’t effective enough to keep on hand.

“EMP and other power grid attack weapons were used very successfully in Iraq “

Care to share the facts on those events. I call bullsh*t.

“No serious person says that EMP is nonsense, because it is real. “

Sounds like a global warming idiot that claim no sane person denies global warming.

EMP is a real event, it just doesn’t destroy all things electronic and electrical as the Internet nerds claim.

This test was 1.4 Megaton! 250 miles up!

in a hundred years and if we help North Korea might be able to duplicate this test.

I'm not saying EMP does not exist but I do think the effects are being greatly exaggerated. EMP is also known to require large lengths of conductor in order to have significant effect . That's why the street lights directly connected to hundreds of yards of large wire were affected. Without direct connection to very long conductors it's doubtful there would be any measurable effect. Again I'm just going by what I have read to be known of EMP. I'm not a scientist. IMO on the surface the idea that just one nuke could create tha amount of energy needed to do country wide damage sems highly unlikely.

Three paragraphs into the story and the article had yet to present any evidence of the title’s claim.

Total clickbait crap typically found on such as subject as EMP.

What the hell would a ground pounder like a green beret know of the science and capabilities as nuclear weapons and delivery systems? Nothing, that’s what. Just another drama queen looking for attention to make money.

Excellent post and summary. You could enhance your closing by describing what happens when there is no water, no sewage treatment, no food delivery, no tractors or combines to plant or harvest food, no transportation, no fuel delivery, no natural gas in the pipes, no heat, no air conditioning, no refrigeration, no medicines, no refrigeration, no communications...and no hope of getting the large high voltage transmission transformers replaced in two to five years.

It’s not a pretty scenario. Especially when marauding bands of bad guys form and rove the country side looking for food and ammunition.

Bill Clinton also created a monster by selling missile secrets to China and giving them favored nation trading status, thereby allowing them to make hundreds of billions of dollars selling us inferior, horrid and at times, products designed to poison us. They could now attempt destroy us using our technology and money. Thanks Bill, you communist loving scum bag.

The US DOD is on record as having used at least non nuclear EMP device in 2003 in Iraq.

The Iraqi broadcasting network was the target.

We also used non EMP anti power infrastructure weapons such as carbon fiber chaff to short out power grids and electronics.

"Every time the EMP question comes up, a few on FR post penetrating comments like "bullsh*t" or "nonsense". If you don't believe an emp is possible or even a threat I would like to hear some arguments that go beyond this.

Yes, it is BS. The demonstrated EMP's required HUGE thermonuclear blasts to trigger (tens of megatons). I have seen zero evidence that NK has other than fission bomb capability (tens of kilotons).

And there is still deterrence in play..even a successful EMP detonation will NOT disable Americas submarine missile capability. In either case, North Korea will cease to exist. Unfortunately, so will South Korea. But an actual strike on US soil will make such collateral damage acceptable.

Thanks for the article.

I worry more about simultaneous detonations of nuclear devices sitting dockside in US East/West coast harbors. I know there are detectors used, but there are sooo many containers offloaded.

I’d say very, very low odds of an attack by the NORKs. High odds of an attack by the muslims.

Yes. If NK was able to miniaturize the nukes they could utilize muslim terrorists to deliver them. NK is a very dangerous situation. Perhaps worse than Iran because NK is so isolated and irrational.

“Total clickbait crap”

There’s a lot of that going around lately on America’s premiere web-site for conservatives.
Not saying this poster is fishing, but I’ll take the risk of anyone grousing,
“You didn’t read the article?!”
if the poster isn’t willing to qualify their authority with credentials: IOW, why is this `expert’ qualified so that we should give him a click/the time of day ... even just a short bio in the lead.

Colonel Kurtz? Jeffrey MacDonald? Is that you John Wayne? Is it me?
Cover your jimmies, I’m opening gunner’s cage ....
