Trump Jr. Emails Prove Russia Collusion Story Is Even Dumber Than You Thought
dailycaller.com ^ | 07/12/2017

Donald Trump Jr. scooped The New York Times Tuesday morning by tweeting out the email chain that has been the subject of three stories suggesting he knew that a meeting with a Russian attorney was part of Russia’s effort to assist his father’s presidential campaign.

The predictable claims that the emails are a “smoking gun” proving collusion and that such activity amounted to “treason” followed. But what the emails actually reveal is nothing of the sort.

First, when “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia was originally discussed it had always been within the context of the Trump campaign assisting the Russians with hacking the DNC. But with these emails, that theory immediately falls apart. As I wrote on Monday, the DNC knew in May that Russia hacked its network. Don Jr. met with the Russian lawyer in June, the month after the hack—meaning that Don Jr. could not collude to do something that had already happened.

Don Jr. was more naïve than dumb. The whole affair looks more like an entrapment scheme on the part of Hillary supporters than realistic.

In fact the entire Russia story is based on the stupid idea that Putin would like to have Donald Trump as the US President instead of Hillary - who sold them Uranium, who bungled her SoS position over and over again, who caused the death of 4 US men in Benghazi, and who stated publicly that she wanted a ‘reset’ button etc. Somehow we are supposed to believe that Putin favored Donald as US President. Would Vladimir Putin want the USA to have a strongman as President rather than a patsy like Hillary? Their storyline insults Putin’s intelligence.

If you read the emails, it is oblivious that this was a set up.
Don’s mistake was taking this email seriously.

So with all this infinite talk of FAKE “Trump Russia” conspiracy theories, how IRONIC is it that there is SMOKING GUN PROOF that it was the Hillary campaign that secretly met with a foreign government official pre-election.

Wikileaks has exposed that a “private, off the record” meeting was set up with the Clinton campaign and “Chinese ambassador Cui.”

So while Don Jr. met with a Russian lawyer that was NOT working for the Russian government at the time, Hillary met with a Chinese ambassador who WAS.

So how come these Democrats and Media pundits who are foolishly calling Don Jr’s meeting “treason” are NOT calling Hillary names 1000x worse?

The Russia “Crown Prosecutor “ has evidence of Hillary?

The whole email from the nut in England reads like a Nigerian
email scam. And it ended up being a scam.

Don was a sucker to even take this email seriously. That’s my point.

I disagree...someone asked for a meeting and he entertained it. 20 minutes later it was over and he probably got a laugh out of it.

The Trumps apparently have had business dealings with this British guy in the past and that was the connection this Russian chick used, so he was going based on a previous business relationship.

He didn’t just get an email from some dude off the street.

MSM, The NY Slimeballs, The Compost, CNN, etc. are digging nothing burgers up in spades. Despite the posting of their trash here they lost the narrative because they are merely mouthpieces of the Dems.

DC is filled with foreign agents....every house and senate member knows that. They meet all the time with reps from dozens of countries and embassies. The meeting Junior was asked to have is very normal in the highest political levels.

Not one congressman or senator has a clean slate with regard to meetings or brief encounters with the good the bad and the ugly. Swamp creatures are everywhere. With the UN being in New York.... the meeting request from a foreign interest isn’t unusual. Americans aren’t stupid. They understand this.

The magpies and jackals at the Times and Post and their henchman can flap their lips all they want but zero collusion to do anything is obvious.

Trump Jr. is a sucker?

So you'd simply ignore a possible credible source who allegedly had dirt on your opponent? All this as your opponent was throwing everything they had at you, regardless if it's true or accurate?

Sounds like something CNN would pop off with.

It reads like a Nigerian email scam.

Maybe you should apply to be Trumps senior political consultant since you seem to know more than the Trump family does.

What “credible source” would write an email that reads like a Nigerian
email scam?

And yes, Don Jr was a sucker to even take it seriously.

And guess what? It read like a scam and it turned out to be a scam.

Have I answered your question?

Unfortunately they reveal Don Jr is not very smart.

He's smart, but very politically naïve and inexperienced. Frankly, I blame Manifort, his Red flags should have gone up on this and at a minimum he should have prescreened the meeting.
