The 2015 protests that rocked the University of Missouri campus and eventually led to the ouster of the schools president has been a disaster for the university. Thats the conclusion of the NY Times which published a story yesterday on declining enrollment at Mizzou.
Before the protests, the university, fondly known as Mizzou, was experiencing steady growth and building new dormitories. Now, with budget cuts due to lost tuition and a decline in state funding, the university is temporarily closing seven dormitories and cutting more than 400 positions, including those of some nontenured faculty members, through layoffs and by leaving open jobs unfilledTyler Morris, a white student from St. Louis, said he was afraid of being stereotyped as a bigot if he went to Missouri. So he decided to go to Missouri Valley College, just down the road in Marshall.
The discrimination wasnt against white people, but I didnt want to be that person who I guess was stereotyped because I was white, he said.

Sorry, my mistake.
Best,

Yes, it finally has. I’m a Mizzou grad, I saw a while back a friend (big lib) complaining that the Republican’s tax cuts were what caused the layoffs, etc. LOL! The fact that two years ago, incoming freshman enrollment was over six thousand, now expecting in the 3800 range this fall has nothing to do with it.
Today Mizzou, tomorrow CNN.
The Michael Sam debacle in truth had nothing to do with the student body at Mizzou. It was just the case of a marginal football player who was hyped beyond belief just because he enjoys sex with men.
King never had that dream. It was plagiarized from the writings of Archibald Carey.
King was a self-serving plagiarist, adulterer and communist. The media wrote glowing praise about him, (much like they praise Michelle's 'toned' arms and style sense) because they were scared to death of Malcolm X.
They are the end result of millions raising children without boundaries (limits as described by Dr. Henry Cloud) to create self-centered, entitled and controlling adults.
I’ve been wondering: Why is it that we support MU or any college, when they also take tuition from students? Or, as a liberal would look at it, why is it that colleges and universities charge tuition when they’re taking tax monies?
I’m surprised Berzerkly hasn’t closed yet. Would love to get a look at their balance sheets to find out how much $$ they earmark for repairs to campus due to “peaceful protests”. And how much of that money is taxpayer funds.
Hey, it’s kind of like all those democratic run cities. Turn into worthless dumps and all the decent people leave. Imagine that!
Ditto. 2 graduate degrees. Never gave or will give those LIB retards a penny. They deserve to collapse.
That is unexpected. Who would have guessed that enabling terrorism would be bad for college recruiting?
Didn’t that graffiti incident turn out to be a hoax? Not that I’d expect NY Times to admit that...
Berkeley has a much better acamic reputation. Mizzou’s academics aren’t any better than small colleges in the area...

They need more bathrooms for trannies and safe places for snowflakes. Then there will be millions of students wanting to come there.
This is a good idea - I might send them 2 cents taped to their next solicitation.
There was a racial graffiti incident that was real in 2011 and was dealt with immediately by the school. You might be thinking of the (supposed) incident of smeared feces in the shape of a swastika on a bathroom wall in a dorm - from what I recall nobody saw the person doing it, the report, if any, was never released and nobody was arrested for it. This was the astro turf moment....
the spin on the NYT story is significantly about how black kids are staying away from Missouri because is a haven for racist violence — and that it’s the racist violence that is killing the institution.
