” nor itself as an institution”
I think you have it right there. It is increasingly apparent that for Roberts, the SC “looking good” (unanimity) is more important than handing down decisions that actually follow the constitution.

#FakeNews Roberts never mentioned Gorsuch by name and there are entire dockets of cases in which the Usual Suspects From The Left disagreed with Roberts a lot more often over the years.Hmmmm..... I thought Roberts's comment was about Justices writing separate opinions, rather than non-unanimous votes. The article said that Gorsuch wrote 7 dissenting opinions in 2 months, as many as Kagan wrote in 2 years.

Gorsuch should say, “Suck it @sshole. I’m here for LIFE.”

Roberts is compromised. That’s been evident for quite a while.

Roberts talks about unity. Takes personal swipe. Weird.

"Concurrences or dissents may prove to be very useful in those instances where the Court is compelled to revisit an earlier opinion. These opinions are very much like the Federalist Papers in explaining the Constitution, insight into what the reasoning was at a given moment in time."
I suggest everyone read Byron White's dissent from Roe v. Wade.
It is simple, concise, and to the point as to why the court got it absolutely WRONG.
It is based on the Constitution.
In Roe, the majority simply made it all up.
Blackmun's "opinion" is just that, an opinion.
He could have made it a simple "yes" vote, but he went off the rails with creating a "trimester" system.
That wasn't even part of the argument!
My lawyer friend called it: "OK, here's my ruling. Now get out your pencils, because I'm going to make up some serious bull$hit"

It’s a great day as long as Gorsuch is more concerned with upholding the Constitution then being best buds with his fellow court members.

“The House can impeach, and the Senate can remove any federal judge including the Chief Justice.”
How in the heck did I miss that, never knew. I think that needs to be discussed a lot more.
Starting with the guy in Hawaii.

I remember him saying something about the people getting what they voted for.
I’m no scholar but I’m certain he used this as a basis for his decision. As explained anyway.

NO One...that changes, or takes my constitutional rights from Me. Go plant some wheat in your back yard and maybe build a pond or rain catch to water it, then go report that to the feds just to make sure they havent taken any our Constitutional rights.
Your rights may be yours, but only as long as no one who matters notices you are exercising them.

Gorsuch is an order of magnitude better justice than the jealous, weakling, fool John Roberts.

Unanimity eh?
*************************************************************
I think what Roberts is trying to say is the minority be vocal about their dissent. IOW, vote but STFU (which is what Gorsuch,or any other Justice voting in the minority should tell Robert.)
