It depends on the price. Legalization made it legal to smoke marijuana, no matter where you get it. If you can get ditchweed for $100 less an oz, that’s where many people will go.
My BIL smokes the cheapest weed he can get and my sister makes him smoke outside because it stinks up her work clothes. I can’t even eat at their house because it might be loaded.
Supposedly they are only “allowed” to buy it at the state approved locations. How would anyone know? Anyway, quite a few of those we know indulge in what I refer to as skunk weed because that what it smells like to me. The 25 foot away from the entrance rule should be put in place to the establishments we have our jam sessions. Guess I/we are just boring as hell since neither of us drink booze, and don’t do drugs and both quit smoking cigs. ;-)

Hey, if you tax something 33-38%, there will always be an illegal market. Works the same way for booze and cigarettes everywhere they try those tax schemes.
You can get primo weed for free, or nearly free if you know someone that grows. “Ditchweed” refers to the hemp growing beside the road across the country. Wouldn’t get a gnat high. But growers will also give away leaf, which can smell pretty bad. Used to live with some hippies. I was walking home one day, and about 2 blocks away I started smelling the rankest weed ever burned. Got home and the girls were burning sage to “purify” the air. Fail.
