Another good one is “Edelweiss” from “The Sound of Music”.

Yep, though I'm partial to the instrumental used in the Ländler (traditional Austrian dance) scene. How civilized we once were.

I also have a soft spot for the soundtrack pieces written for Local Hero by Mark Knopfler, specifically two pieces known as "Wild Theme" and "Going Home". The difference is mostly the addition of a saxophone in the latter; mostly they're the same tune - and quite beautiful. I think Mark may have actually composed the piece with bagpipes in mind...

"Edelweiss" and "Theme From A Summer Place" were played at our wedding 38 years ago.

My bride and I consider them two of our favorite songs.
