The very same human being reviled by his political enemies as mentally unfit to serve under the 25th Amendment was wildly cheered by a huge crowd in Warsaw, chanting, "USA! USA!" and "Donald Trump! Donald Trump!" His speech delighted them, highlighting Poland's courage, endurance, and faith as a mainstay in defending our civilization, historically and now. It was one of his best speeches ever.
He was introduced by First Lady Melania Trump, who looked more comfortable and in command as a public speaker than ever before. Perhaps living in the White House is solidifying her command of her role, or maybe being in a Slavic land made her relax. But she sounded splendid introducing her husband and is an obvious asset to his presidency. Shortly after the speech, this was announced:
The office of Slovenia's president says U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation to visit the small central European nation that is the homeland of his wife Melania.
Borut Pahor's office said in a statement Thursday that the Slovenian president extended the invitation on the sidelines of the Three Seas summit, a meeting of countries all bordered by the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas.
It was not immediately clear when the visit could take place.
We can expect the broadcast and cable news nets to minimize this very visible triumph in Warsaw for the president, one that contradicts the narrative of him being a disaster. They will solidify their irrelevance to the extent they downplay or ignore this important story. A lot of markers were laid down for the coming meetings in Hamburg.

Absolutely amazing speech. Hearing bits of it on Dennis Prager. And response from a people who understand the difference between freedom and totalitarianism (often found hiding under the wooly pelt of political correctness).
As Dennis says, “No wonder the Left hates him. He is The Anti-Left.”
I’m so glad some people on our globe understand.
As for the multitude of American liberals, we do well to remember that they have the capacity to understand as well, but they are extremely gullible and have been convinced by the Left. If we could gain access to their swaying, atrophied brains, we could have them share the truth.
Their response was thundering applause and chants of “Do Nald Trump!”
Mika is hung better than Joe.

On behalf of @FLOTUS Melania and myself, thank you Poland!🇺🇸🇵🇱 #ICYMI, watch here➡️ http://45.wh.gov/TphMP6 #POTUSinPoland
He also tossed down the gauntlet, and it made a loud clang...
And so I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization. (Applause.) The story of Poland is the story of a people who have never lost hope, who have never been broken, and who have never, ever forgotten who they are. (Applause)
Merkel and Macron have got to be nervous after a statement like that. The fact that Trump gave primacy to Poland, rather than France, England, or even Germany was not coincidental, as well. A message is being delivered, here, and we'll know next week if it was received. Watch the news to see if European leaders start softening their stance towards Trump..."He's not such a bad sort, after all." "America has been a staunch and valued ally." and so on...
That one I've got to see. I'm thoroughly sick of "Trump is unpopular in Europe" pronouncements by German and French commentators who think that theirs is the only Europe that counts.
Watched it while getting ready for work this morning. His praise for Poland was so heartfelt, it nearly brought me to tears.
Loved that speech.
Also loved that they were *NOT* chanting EU! EU!
Maybe they will soon come to their senses and withdraw from the EU.
“Morning Joe said it was the worst Presidential speech he ever heard!”
While I believe it, I really cannot believe that they would stoop so low as to not give credit where credit is due. This was one of the best foreign policy speeches I have heard in my lifetime.
To Joe and Mika, grow up.
Historic speech. “We want God.”
He has picked up where Reagan and Thacher left off.
Like your namesake (Charles Martel), Trump was concerned with the preservation of Western Civilization against (primarily) Muslim invaders.
He spoke extensively in lightly veiled “code”—mentioning items that unite the West like SYMPHONIES, IMAGES OF OUR GOD and HEROES.
(Note: Islam has no symphonies, and does not allow images.)
I expect Trump to make similar points when he speaks at G-20; not for the craven leaders, but for the PEOPLE of the WEST who still reside in Europe.
That’s because Trump is the first President since Reagan with a vision and a message of freedom from government oppression and tyranny.
Go back to sleep MSNBC.
It would be great if the Trumps could visit Slovenia during this visit, but the schedule may be too tight for any spontaneous drop ins.
POTUS will be back in Eastern Europe. That’s where his international friends are. He may stop for coffee in Berlin but no reason to stick around. I think it is a safe bet they will hit Slovenia next year as an add-on to another trip.
I’m a student of history and in my opinion the only person I consider able to rival Trump’s oratory is Cicero.
He speaks with such, force, such passion. He elicits responses from the brain and the heart.
I knew as soon as he came down that staircase in July 2015 and made his stirring rallying cry for American greatness we had someone very special on our hands
Stupid CNN was showing an anti-Trump demonstration in Germany earlier today. Someone was driving a vehicle through the crowd with a large banner that said, “WE’RE F**KING ANGRY!” No surprise, the CNN cameraman was careful to zoom in on the banner at close range while the anchor desk was doing commentary.
You listen to Trump, you follow that speech, and you know that Western Civilization is worth saving.
But Cicero spoke in the damned subjunctive case ( which is an utter pain in the arse to translate and also gets VERY boring, after translating the first 15 of them ! )and they always ended the same way. ;^)
Holy sheet, this is a major historical speech!
Trump hits it out of the park.
Its truly a Reaganesque speech.
Key phrase like Reagans Tear down that wall, IMO was ...Let them come to Poland

Trump NAILS IT!!
It was also strategic to bring up the account of the Polish resistance fighting the evil Krauts in WWII before going to meet with Madame Merkel.
