DONALD Trump has waded into the fight to save Charlie Gard and offered to help the stricken baby.
A British court has ruled that little Charlie suffering with mitochondrial depletion syndrome should have his life support machine switched off.
But the billionaire US President has joined the battle to help the ten-month-old undergo an experimental treatment in America.
He wrote: If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.
Trumps words come just one day after Pope Francis added his voice to calls for Charlie to be given one final shot at life.
The pontiff said Charlies parents should be allowed to accompany and treat their child until the end.

Had the misfortune of tuning by MSNBC who had one of their reporters in the UK lauding the president for this, and then launching into an equally long, "on the other hand"....
The FAKE NEWS never ends!

The UK doctors know where their money comes from, which will be threatened if alternate funding outside their system saves the kid.

I’m crying now. This isn’t the first time he’s stepped in with an offer to help someone in medical need.

The prime directive of socialism is to preserve the system.
Anything that embarrassed that system must be suppressed at all cost.

Using and “experimental” drug or therapy is a tricky thing - doctors & scientist must be darn sure that it will work for the child.

If anyone was certain, it wouldn’t be labeled experimental.

Most Catholics I know don’t like him either, but of course the press loves him. And hates Trump.

Not the same thing. Bringing a new medicinal product to market is complicated & expensive. If an IND or "experimental" drug, is given to a person, outside of the clinical trial, what happens to that person is tied to the IND.
You could bankrupt a company doing it.

Yep. The ol’ razzle-dazzle. Pope’s been boning up on Clintonspeak.

Politically it’s BRILLIANT (besides the fact that it may save the baby’s life).
Trump is letting the world see what Europe has become when they rejected God. Who knows, maybe even some Europeans will (finally) conclude that enough is enough with this experimental new world they’re creating.
