ERIE, PA Max Bloomstine has a positive view of the nations growing diversity, believes the American dream is attainable (but doesnt believe hes entitled to it) and is more into the we instead of the me.
He is politically independent but leans conservative, attends church on a regular basis, and views his parents not sports figures or celebrities as role models.
Right now, though, two things weigh heavily on his mind: where to attend college next year (Its either going to be the University of Pittsburgh or Rochester) and working on a summer job.
I am a good entrepreneur when it comes to online gaming administration, he said.
Say hello to Generation Z, the most recent to come of age. It is the youth of America, with its oldest members in their early 20s.
Sometimes referred to as the iGeneration, as they literally grew up with technology and social media in their hands, they are poised to dramatically change the cultural, economic and political landscape for some time to come.
Born between 1996 and 2010, they are very similar to their Gen X parents, that small, pragmatic generation that fell between the larger baby boomer and millennial generations.
Gen Z actually like and trust their parents, who have been transparent with them, much more than any generation before, said Jeff Brauer, a political-science professor at Keystone College in suburban Scranton, Pa., who has produced one of the first comprehensive studies on the next generation.
Analyzing research from Wright State University in Ohio on 1,200 Generation Z students at 15 colleges and universities across the country, Brauer also used exit polling from CNN and census data to draw his conclusions.....

What does an "online gaming administrator" do?
No idea. I’m a baby boomer.
I'm one of the Gen-Xers. In the course of my life the past several years I've worked with and come to know many Millenials and "Generation Z" kids.
The ones just now coming into their own are in large part HORRIFIED at what those before them have done to America and they LOATHE the Millenials. They are determined to do better.
The colleges will work overtime to make sure Max abandons any faith in conservatism. He will be encouraged to resent his parents and to idolize instead failed social dreamers from 100 years ago. He will be assured that democrats have his best interests as their top priority.
Our three kids (18 to 22) I guess are this iGeneration. Most of their classmates in liberal Seattle are liberals, but my kids are staunch Conservatives. And now that they are in college they have made friends that are also conservative.
Their mom and I are just barely still baby boomers I think. But yeah - they still like us and trust us. My daughter and I were at the gun range today as she is back from college. One of the guys quipped “And she still even wants to hang out with the old man!”
Smiling as I read this article.
Good luck with that political fantasy.
White young people vote about 55% Republican.
Non-white young people vote 80% Democrat.
Generation Z has fewer white voters than the Millennial generation.
Salena Zito continues to write as if she is talking with FReepers.
As for the beheadable millenials who think they’re the best and look down on the elderly, just tell the punks that they are old, too, and that a more stable and more capable generation is rising right behind them.

I personally think we already are in a “Great Awakening” and a move away from “gummint as god”. It is just that the Brown Shirt Media absolutely are doing everything they can to suppress it because, at some level, they understand what is happening and it isn’t good for their side. This explains their vicious attacks on Trump and conservatives. Naturally, folks shy away from the behavior the BSM exhibits and so their lame attempts backfire. “Rebellious” youth will turn against them.
If the Sixties played a part in giving rise to the Reagan Revolution, the Gen-Zers are going to REALLY impress you.
I'll be impressed if they have 3 or 4 kids instead of "his and hers" dogs.
Good article. Thanks for posting.
>I’ll be impressed if they have 3 or 4 kids instead of “his and hers” dogs.
They won’t. Once women’s liberation gets this advanced the birth rate never recovers without rolling back women’s rights which we’ve very unlikely to do.
Although I want to believe it, this prediction is likely to be just as nuts as the “Hispanics are natural conservatives” nonsense.
These people realize (or should realize) that the geriatrics now running government (the swamp) has SCREWED THEM ROYALLY (primarily the Baby Boom generation), by stealing $20 Trillion from them. As these people obtain political power, they are not going to be as supportive of the ‘old ways’ very much.
