The best defense is a good offense, President Trump contended in a clutch of early-evening tweets Saturday in which he seemed to argue he should keep up his Twitter habit.
The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media, he wrote at 6:02 p.m.
But remember, I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beat #FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN!
Six minutes later, he added a stinger: I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN! He later pinned the tweet to the top of his page.
Trump has kept up an aggressive social media persona since his inauguration, despite many Republicans pleas for him to adopt a more dignified tone in keeping with Presidential tradition.

Yes, the uniparty does not like President Trump’s tweets. It makes him hard to control.
Great Post!
BTW, I Agree With You. Every Word!
Well Said!
Exactly, the MSM is stuck in their tar pits bleating.
Trump is setting the new standard, i expect all future Presidents to do the same.
DJT Speaks for us... The media is a bunch of elitist pigs.
... Milquetoast Republicans...

I disagree with that description, at least among the professional political class and pundits.
For the professional political class of GOP never-Trumpers, they are eyeball deep in the criminal corruption most commonly associated with the DNC. They know full well that if Trump does actually ‘drain the swamp’ they’re going to prison.
The pundits among the “right wing” “conservative” never-Trumpers are degenerate parasites feeding out of the status quo trough and if the status quo goes away, so does their grossly inflated pay checks.
Human garbage, the lot of them.
Keep Tweeting!
Some of the tweets are a bit cringeworthy but I definitely vote that he continues tweeting. “Modern Day Presidential” means no more PC, no more polling, and nuancing. That is good.
I think the same way...President Trump is setting a high bar for future presidents. Once you go Trump, you can't go back.
You control the paradymn, Mr. President. Carry on with your good work, Sir.
>> The only people who think Trump’s tweets are bad
And the self-absorbed Benedict Kristol.
Tweets give President Trump a method to pretty much change the subject and dominate media attention, at will.
That’s not a trivial capability. I’m fascinated to see how it will be used.
If the media doesn’t like President Trump’s tweets they can just delete them. He’s tweeting to his followers and friends - not to them.
Same with Dems and Milquetoast Republicans - ‘turn the channel’ - ‘delete’.
It is a system which teaches that perversion is normal, illegal aliens are entitled to the same rights as American citizens, and increases in Medicaid funding are "cuts" that kill people.
Tweet, Donald, tweet. Muck the fedia.
Oh, so they want Trump to be more dignified.
Like Bill Clinton, who did “stuff” with Monica, and then finished the job in the Oval Office sink?
That is laughable! President Trump has been in hundreds and hundreds of Board Rooms around the world talking business ... he is known for his integrity, a straight shooter...precious few of those in Washington....this go to and give parties for lobbyists is of no interest to this hard working POTUS...his Politically incorrect i.e., honest answers has the elected whining and mewing they just don't understand, Donald Trump does not talk out of both sided of his mouth, a D.C. mannerism. Nor does FLOTUS, that stunning lady is all grace and brains.....she doesn't mean to be threatening she is just smarter and drop dead beautiful....which has the D.C. dowdy a bit unnerved.
Paradymn -> paradigm
In light of the media’s abandonment of all professional standards of journalism with regard to President Trump, they are getting what they deserve. They even brag about how they’ve abandoned those standards (a la Jim Rutenberg of The NY Times).
Sort of hilarious - their caterwauling about President Trump’s “lack of dignity” when he calls them out.
It’s science.
Donald Trump is President, so tweeting is Presidential.
Ha! Well said!
