The best defense is a good offense, President Trump contended in a clutch of early-evening tweets Saturday in which he seemed to argue he should keep up his Twitter habit.
The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media, he wrote at 6:02 p.m.
But remember, I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beat #FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN!
Six minutes later, he added a stinger: I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN! He later pinned the tweet to the top of his page.
Trump has kept up an aggressive social media persona since his inauguration, despite many Republicans pleas for him to adopt a more dignified tone in keeping with Presidential tradition.

Trump now has complete control over the Swamp Stream Media. They’re putting all of their resources into the foolishness about the planet’s most neurotic couple, which suits the President just fine.
While those nitwits are busy chasing shiny objects, the President can ram his agenda through and forge great relationships with foreign leaders—a process that’s going spectacularly well. And our Melania has turned out to be a real asset socially with leaders from other countries.
They start getting pushy? Just toss another bright, shiny new toy for them to go after.
It would be high lunacy for President Trump to give up a potent weapon like tweeting to appease weak kneed Republicans who hate him anyway.
We’re past decency as the Democrat party has been nothing but vicious lying and slandering sleazy politicians that will do anything for power. It requires someone to fight back against the real fascists that are the left.
Post BUMP! Thanks, Oshkalaboomboom.
HOORAY President Donald J. Trump. Thank you, sir.
Looking at the ‘suicide’ list (which doesn’t even include murders or ‘accidents’) of the people associated with Hillary (15 people, all declared suicides)...made me think that Trump should tweet one name off of that list (or maybe off the whole suspicious death list, about 50 people now)...every day or so. Don’t say anything else...just tweet the name and let us followers look it up.
...and watch the media explode!
“If the media doesnt like President Trumps tweets they can just delete them.”
That is a GREAT ANSWER to the Left. Just tell them to IGNORE the tweets, or not even follow him. And maybe get a bit snobbish like them - saying that it’s not Trump’s fault that they can’t understand why he does it.
Yep.
He has 33,000,000,000 Twitter followers. Imagine the number of people who follow without signing up. Brilliantly strategery!
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.....
I absolutely cringed with the Mika tweet.....but I have been wanting republicans to fight back as hard as they are being attacked since Regan....I am getting what I wished for. Keep tweeting, it is better than not answering dems in kind even if it makes me cringe.
'Dignified tone' is why conservatives have gotten their collective ass*s kicked up and down the stairs for the last thirty years. More Breitbart, less McConnell.
I tweeted for him to continue to give them hell - it’s one of the reasons we elected him....
33,000,000,000...is this Maxine Waters? :-)
Time to join the fracas...with a rebel yell.
My mother, age 84, watches MSM news because she has the tv on 24/7. She hears the nightly rat stooge report and believes some of it. She is one of the last other than rat echo chamber devotees to be exposed to this propaganda. The tweets in some form reach nearly everyone who uses a computer. I’m sure in 1933 the print media was pi$$ing and moaning the same way about FDR and his non presidential radio chats.
paradigm = paradymn
The problem is his staff members are not attacking the media and letting their boss do all the heavy lifting. I wish President Trump would use twitter like a modern day electronic fireside chat.
Thank you Lord for giving us POTUS DJT.
