Time magazine has asked the Trump Organization to remove copies of a fake cover of President Trump that were on display at the company’s golf clubs, The Washington Post reported Tuesday afternoon.
The request came after the newspaper reported that at least four Trump-branded golf clubs had displayed a fake Time magazine cover that depicted Trump with the headline “Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!”
The cover, dated March 1, 2009, was never published by the magazine at any point, a spokeswoman for Time confirmed.

Meanwhile, they publish fake news about Trump and pretend to be journalists.

Not to mention fruitless. Parody use is probably protected.

Time is basically a cover now as in no inside pages.
Anyone remember when booths at amusement parks superimposed your photograph on a famous magazine title cover? Rolling Stone, Time, etc.
Since the simulated Time cover was never representated as genuine, Time has no case. No, I’m not a lawyer but I play one on FR.

The press thinks this is some sort of powerful "gotcha." Trump had the cover made in March 2009, as Celebrity Apprentice was enjoying commercial success. My point being that in this instance, it isn;t Trump tweaking the press, it is the press trying to tweak Trump. Take him off his agenda.

Trump should agree to do it,....PROVIDED Time Magazine recalls and republishes all the Time issues with a fake (Photoshopped) picture of Trump on the front.
