You seem to be one who assumes too much. Now to answer your questions: 1.Guns are placed in locations in which I may have to use them IMMEDIATELY and don’t have to go find or get them while asking the attacker to please wait until I can go get my gun....Please! They are located so that any door to the exterior of the house has one available immediately. 2. Outer doors to my house are always locked unless I have gone outside to do something (through that door) and I ALWAYS carry my little buddy in my pocket (a ruger .380 LCP). 3. A real safe is vastly different than a “lockbox.” My gun safe will take a truck to move and my regular safe weighs over 300 pounds.
It is a very stupid or ignorant person that ever believes that law enforcement can protect you today. Remember “when seconds matter law enforcement will be there in a matter of minutes...if they come at all!”
Being naive and living down here in deep South Texas invites trouble.
