Six teenage boys, aged between 14 and 16, are accused of stealing a Porsche and $200,000 during a Florida burglary - before blowing the cash on gold jewelry and teeth, and high end cars for themselves and their mothers. The teens; Rural Scott, 15, Jeremiah Laplace, 15, Michael Bush, 14, Joshua Sargeant, 14, Shomari Smith, 14, and Walter Walker, 16, all from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were charged with burglary and grand theft this week.

I think they had some money hid away and were all lying about not having any left.

"200k and they abandoned the porche. There were 6 of them. The math is not adding up."

Or it seems to be adding up to more than $200K.

Why didn’t a bell go off in their parents heads when all this money showed up?

Parents?

Of course they're lying. They have no incentive to tell the truth if it means they'll lose the cash they robbed. They have no fear of the law. Why should they? They've gotten nothing but slaps on the wrist this long.

I'd take a slap on the wrist if I got to keep the thousands I robbed.

“Tell me this isn’t odd. from the article:”

I keep guns at close reach everywhere in my house. What are you going to do when they break in to rob you? Ask them to wait until you can get one of your guns?

I keep valuables and sometimes large amounts of cash in my safe too. What’s wrong with that? Are you so gullible that you don’t realize that one day you may wake up and find out that all banks have been temporarily closed by government order or by bankruptcy? Worse yet...CLOSED! It happened in the 30’s and can certainly happen overnight here!

Be sure to keep your guns locked up or in a gun safe at home. Just wait until you need to really get them in a hurry and you must use a combination or worse yet...a key and a combination just to open the safe. Do you think you can simply ask the attacker to wait just a minute until you can protect yourself? Apparently you are not living in today’s world of REAL DANGER!

SAFES and GUNS (loaded ones) mean S A F E T Y and a means to protect your life, your children’s lives and your wife’s life along with all that you own. You have a God and Government granted right to protect all...with force if necessary.

You leave your guns out on the living room table?

You leave your house unlocked?

You leave your lifes’ savings in a filebox?

“The Palm Beach Post reports that the teens have not been charged as adults.”

Excellent! That’s what’s called “justice”!

Hmmm, my sarc tag is gone I think it may have been stolen...

Remember, the homeowner was away when the break-in occurred. He left his guns on a table while he was away. I don’t know about you, but I find that odd.

> I keep valuables and sometimes large amounts of cash in my safe too. <

That makes sense. But did you see a picture of the man’s safe? It’s a little thing, like one you’d buy at a Target store. I sure wouldn’t put $200,000 into something like that.

“Receipt of stolen property is a felony in most states. That includes stolen cash?”

How do you identify stolen cash? I realize that bills have numbers on them but hard currency does not. Worse yet, unless EVERY paper bill has it’s number recorded, compared to all bills left in the theft and then given to the police, none can be identified. You can’t point at a $5.00 bill and say “Hey! That’s mine” without proof that it is! Try to prove that it is without a record of its serial number, the date it was received, from whom, and best yet...a witness who will swear upon oath he saw you take the bill, record the serial number and actual PROOF the bill was placed in the safe. All of which is nearly impossible to comply with.

They don’t know who the “baby daddy” is. Mom does not know either. They were told they were found under a mushroom in the pile of dog poop in the back yard.

“Actually it is the strongest they can do to them”

Actually, the government could turn them into “SOYLENT BLACK” and feed the welfare masses with it. It would serve a good purpose then and then, at least, they would be good for something.

Why didn’t a bell go off in their parents heads when all this money showed up? The parents should be arrested for child endangerment by letting this get by.

Your first mistake was putting the "s" on the end of "parent". They are almost certainly all the products of a baby mama welfare recipient. Byproducts of irresponsible sex between 2 idiots with more lust than brains. No dad present in their lives. Baby mama was probably relieved that her boy wasn't pestering her for money for his high dollar sneakers and dope. No questions asked. Just look at them, and you don't see teens, you see the future hardened criminals and drains on society in those faces.

If anyone does what you say what he did, they deserve what’s coming to them without complaint.

Stupidity and gullibility can’t be fixed.

In today’s world you trust no one except immediate family...and that has to be carefully judged too.
