Problem really is a regional issue for any states bordering on The Great Lakes. If the carp get in one Great Lake, the very valid concern is that they will get in all of the lakes. They are like an aquatic locust/ant/cockroach...Spread like wildfire as they grow fast and takeover the ecosystem. The fish seem to be excited by noise and do jump/leap when boats go by...my spouse got smacked in shoulder by one—said it hurt—the fish can weight 50 lbs.
