Wittes wrote on Twitter that the upcoming story could be published later Friday or on Monday. The heads-up comes a day after Trump revealed that he was bluffing last month when he suggested that he had recorded his conversations with Comey.
May 16 appears to be his first time Wittes previewed Comey stories.
Hours after Wittes posted the foreboding message that day, The Times published a shocking story: “Comey Memo Says Trump Asked Him To End Flynn Investigation.”
The piece cited a memo that Comey filed just after a Feb. 14 meeting he had with Trump at the White House. In the meeting, Comey claimed that Trump asked him to back off of an investigation into Michael Flynn, the retired lieutenant general who Trump had fired as national security adviser the previous day.
Wittes was not the source of the memo. Columbia law school professor Daniel Richman, another friend of Comey’s, shared the document with The Times after being provided a copy by the former FBI chief.
Richman has since given the memos to the FBI.
Wittes tweeted a series of “ticks” two days later, on May 18. Wittes was an on-the-record source for that article, also written by Times reporter Michael S. Schmidt.

I do believe Comey is an opportunist narcissist nut job who cannot stand being out of the limelight. He is like one of those employees that is fired for cause and cannot move on and overcome a bruised ego.
His actions after being fired confirm the fact that he should have been canned.

Why walk into and out of the New York Times building through the front entrance unless you WANT to be sure you are seen, and photographed, doing so? If Comey wanted to avoid being seen, he simply would have parked in the garage below and taken the elevator.
If the woman is indeed Patrice Failor, Comey’s wife, then her hair has sure turned white from blonde in a hurry. And if she is his wife, then she sure appears to be keeping a safe emotional distance from her husband.
We know where have we seen this sort of behavior before, and we know why.
I don’t care what Comey says in any memo, it’s still just his word against Trump’s. Trump himself could wave around a memo and say he wrote it up right after meeting with Comey, doesn’t mean it’s so.
Its not really about hacking votes..etc.

Do you know what it means when someone says one hop warrant..or subpoena or wiretap??? The rocket docket sent out one hop subpoenas related to flynn.
There is no way that you can conclude there is nothing for flynn To flip on...he has been involved in many many things. His flipping may have nothing to do with trump..it may be ratting out someone else
