EDEN, N.C. White privilege training in the Rockingham County school system is causing a lot of headaches.
Superintendent Rodney Shotwell told Rockingham Now the state threatened to withhold federal funding when a disproportionate number of minority students were suspended in a special exceptional childrens program in 2012 and 2013, so district leaders implemented mandatory equity training for school staff.
Now, some teachers are complaining that the training materials focused on white privilege and transgender issues violate their principles, while parents are speaking out about other teachers who are taking what they learned and imposing it on students.
At a May 8 school board meeting, parent Farran Wilkinson took to the podium to out one educator who recently forced white students to apologize to black students for their white privilege, according to the American Lens.

Something similar happened to me in chaplaincy training. It wasn’t specifically ‘white,’ but there was a whole list of ‘privileges’ that the entire class had to mark off that they had.
I refused, then flipped off my supervisor and the entire class in response while doing a parody of the ‘The man your man could smell like’ ad.
“Look at this finger, now back to me, now back to this finger, now back to me,” etc.
Oddly enough, I got respect for it.
Shame on that school board. They must be the stupidest people in NC. Those teachers who are racially abusing White students should be fired immediately. White taxpayers should refuse to pay taxes to support such a racist school system. Let’s see who can fill the financial hole left in school budgets when White taxpayers withhold their “privilege” to pay taxes.

“Privilege” does not exist ex nihilo. It had to start somewhere with some people. I have no problem with others admitting to the world that my ancestors were more apt, more intelligent, more able, more sophisticated, and much more likely to come out on the winning side of any conflict with their ancestors. If they want to take it back 50 years, 500 years or 5,000 years I am up for that. The better team apparently won the privilege game and took home the trophy. The 2nd place team took home — well — 2nd place.
If they say the game was rigged, then my ancestors were smarter than theirs and figured out how to rig the game and theirs didnt. If they say my ancestors were more savage than theirs then that means theirs were weaker than mine. If they say there were more of mine, then that means that mine were simply better at understanding how to use the environment and technology to sustain a greater population. If they say that my ancestors were better geographically situated that means that they were better realtors, able to find and hold superior territory. If they say my ancestors had bigger, badder, and more destructive weapons that means than their ancestors were probably stuck in a stone-age existence for 10,000 years past their time.
No matter how you slice it they are making the claim for me that their ancestors could not quite hack it when it came to competition for the privilege of being on top. They were weaker, ineffective, and overall a fine example of Darwinism in action. Seems to me as if they are pointing the “finger of blame” at the wrong set of ancestors. I’d suggest they have a heartfelt talk with their grandma and grandpa and ask them why ~their~ grandmas and grandpas were so pitiful in the game of life.
Now understand that ~this~ is how ~they~ see the world. This is what ~they~ are admitting happened. Unless, of course, they want to somehow claim that “privilege” just happened along one day from out of nowhere and someone picked it up off the ground and has been using it ever since. Should be an interesting and amusing read.

the drill in an ed school multiculti class that i had to take for single subject teacher certification was for the floor to be divided into continents, each continent labeled with the resources that it consumed per person. naturally, north america was labeled as the continent that consumed the highest percentage of the world’s resources per person.
students were then asked to stand on the place on the floor that they most identified with. with few exceptions, most people stood on the north america part of the floor.
i was part hispanic and had visited south america, so i chose to identify with south america, and stood on south america’s part of the floor.
from that point on, i made funny faces at all of my classmates who proceeded to get pummelled by the teacher for consuming so much of the world’s resources.
i think a similar stand could be made by students subjected to this type of treatment in a classroom.
the first question to the student is always “who do you identify most with?” at least, this is the question that should be asked first, since otherwise someone besides the student would need to label each student by racial appearances, and labeling other people is (conventionally, at least) not kosher in the leftist playbook.
so every student should always answer with (name one’s favorite legally recognized and protected minority) to the question of which racial group the student most identifies with.
from that point on, if the student has self identified as a legally protected minority, he or she should be immune from the self righteous indignation of morally superior leftist fascist teachers.
btw the prof flunked me in multiculturalism and i never re-took the class, so dissent does come at some potential cost to the dissenter.
The other most obvious disgusting detail is that the folks that are trying to push this White Priv. hogwash actually, truly feel they are righteous in doing so.
Who ARE these misled and brainwashed souls? AND who is going to explain to those small children that NO TEACHER EVER HAS THE RIGHT to force you to do something so disgusting. How do you teach a child to ask to go to the principal’s office rather than participate. These children are too young to understand.
If this were my grandchild to which this happened, all heck would break loose. I would confront first the teacher, the school, the school board, on and on and on.

This sort of thing is the result of carpetbaggers from New England and the west coast states moving to places like Eden and foisting their sick ideas and values on the indigenous population. I have personal knowledge of this because I know a “progressive” couple from MA who live near Eden in a gated upscale community. PUKES!
