So Trump's travel ban to protect US citizens from foreign terrorists are bad but California can enact travel bans to somehow protect perverts are ok. Go figure.

I suspect the 9th Circuit Court would find this very reasoned.

They fear the diminished washroom sex opportunities won't be worth the travel costs.

Yeah, but it’s semi-fake.

If UCLA, for example, is playing one of these teams, there’s an exemption.

This is about official payments for it. The two are not equivalent topics.

Still it is silly. Maybe if we let places that have gone over the top this way, like California, die their own exquisite silliness deaths without shaking furious fists at them, we might see the tide change sooner. Part of the devil’s game is to garner as much attention as he can get, and he doesn’t care whether it’s good or bad attention.

Dumb question: Why do people in state government travel so much?

I am sure Texas is all choked up about that.

I believe there is a reason that most natural disaster/alien invasion/apocalypse movies happen on the coasts.

This little game of High Horse may backfire on California.
What if these states on the ‘bad’ list decided to start charging California a few extra taxes here and there for miscellaneous stuff? One can always make something up to charge for, if your goal is to be just as petty as the libs in California.

Should be good for CA taxpayers. Why do they need to travel to other states anyway? Non-news news.

Two can play here! U.S. should withhold federal funds from California.

These boycotts are only done, if there’s no real sacrifice or cost to them.

For example, a few years ago, LA decided to boycott Arizona, to not do business with Arizona at all, to protest Arizona’s law against illegal aliens.

Then, it was discovered that LA gets about 25% of their electricity from power plants in Arizona. So then, the LA city council rescinded their boycott.

The thought of their people sitting and sweating in a hot summer of rolling blackouts and power outages, was too much to bear. Since boycotting Arizona involved some real sacrifice, LA decided to not boycott that state after all.

Shows how important making their half assed political statement really was.

My guess is that California does very little business, and has very little reason to ever travel, to the states affected. It’s a symbolic protest which will make the folks in The Castro and West Hollywood happy, as well as liberals who like to bend over backwards to prove they are liberal towards homosexuality.

California doing Texas a favor. Keep these libtards out of Texas. Could Texas just say “No Californians wanted”?

Fresno State is supposed to play Alabama in Tuscaloosa this fall. This will hurt Fresno State, since they have a guaranteed payday if they show up to play.

Think you got a point. It will keep up until someone says that this is getting so silly it has reached serious unanticipated consequences.

The point isn’t the boycott but the “virtue signal.”

A lot of them will squeeze in family vacations on such deals. Show up (or maybe not) for a meeting and expense it all to the state.
