So, when you enter into a conversation in Canada, you should first ask, “Are you a man or woman or what?”

OR WHAT?? That's a microaggression!!

The proper thing to do is hand the person you're speaking with a list of all 58 genders (59 actually, because it should also contain the option of "other").

Then give the person a pen and ask them to check off the applicable gender(s).

Only then should you actually engage in a conversation with that person, making sure to use the correct gender pronoun from that point on.

Of course, when I use the term "person," I don't mean to be speciesist.
