What lost the press and the culture in general to the leftists, was the Viet Nam War and its protest movement. It’s that ding dong simple. It became clear then that globalist financier oligarchy had turned America into an EMPIRE. Empires eventually get what they deserve. Unfortunately America takes the blame for what a hand full of feudalist Nazi sympathizer oligarchs (Go ahead, research Prescott Bush & Co.) manage to pull off as the “invisible hand” of government.

She is absolutely right. How much credibility does that noisy little guy standing behind the bully EVER have. That is all journalism is now.
My friend Jim Kuypers wrote “Partisan Journalism,” a history of the press, a couple of years ago.
He shows that in 1913 the Journalism Code of Ethics required at least TWO named sources for every fact. NO unnamed sources allowed at all.
I have been listening to Camille for years. I rarely agree with her but you can have a reasonable debate with her. Many years ago her and Rush wound up sitting next to each other. By the end of the dinner they were good friends. He even offered her a cigar and they smoked them together.
Well, that’s not fair. How would they be able to make up $hit about Republicans and Trump with a code of ethics ?!
“And if she were straight, Id bang her!”
TMI !
.
It's killing the NY Times in particular that theirs is no longer The Newspaper Of Record, that anyone of us unwashed with a hundred-dollar toy computer can reach more readers than they have subscribers. Theirs is power, ours is freedom. And at the moment freedom is winning.
It’s the bias.
Wow. How far we have sunk.
It’s even worse: the “Code” said that a good journalist had to tell “both sides of the story” and that involved telling each side from IT’S STRONGEST position and one that its advocates would accept, not (for example) having a RINO or leftist trying to tell “Trump’s” side of the story.
“Pat Caddell and Alan Dershowitz also have good moments.”
definitely. also occasionally Doug Schoen.
but Caddell, Dershowitz, and Paglia are practically the only Dems I actually respect and am interested in their opinions.
Actually, they weren’t doing that sixty years ago. They got a little better after Agnew’s speeches (1970). Howard K. Smith (ABC) closed every broadcast with:”That’s tonight’s news and a comment...” Eric Sevareid’s (CBS) commentary was always sharply distinguished from the news—including visually. He spoke in the dark into a big, old-fashioned microphone—like the radio man he was.
Like most liberals, Sevareid said nothing in his decades and decades of broadcasting that anybody remembers today. Or remembered five minutes after he said it.
In 1922, the NYT said that a rocket could never get to the Moon because, outside the atmosphere, the rocket would have nothing to push against. They published a retraction after the Moon landing in 1969.
I’m kind of hoping the MSM is permanently destroyed.
I just got my Imprimis today and I thought the same thing.
I can’t stop laughing at that picture.
Bookmark. Awesome thread. Thank you for posting.
It’s a booster shot of schadenfreude from the big shot we got last November.
#MAGA
I’ve posted it and texted it to people a bunch.
Trump should require that all the White House Press Corps wear dunce caps to all briefings.
If they ask a reasonable and fair question they should be allowed to remove the cap for that day.
New day—new cap.
Train ‘em like dogs!
