Not huge mis-step to point out, just overall campaign was weak, and defensive because of money poring in from left coast

She got more votes in initial election because she was known establishment / GOP supported. other anti-establish type received more votes but split between 4 people so she won.
If one of the others would have won this race would not have been close. There is no conservative excitement for Handel, conservatives would have rallied around one of the other 4.
It’s Like Romney vs Obama 2.
Keep in mind this is Newt’s old district.

Karen Handel was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She served as deputy chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle's wife, Marilyn.It looks like she had a good start for a GOPe insider background. I still was glad to vote for Karen Handel over the puny socialist Osshole.

You have two choices: vote for the “more evil” if that makes you feel strong, or not vote for the “lesser evil” and let the “evil” assume office.

As Dennis Prager said today, Osloff presents himself as a JFK Democrat but he will vote with Maxine Waters. The same in reverse can be said of Handel.

I received two Handel emails, recently.
One from her campaign, with NO mention of Trump, MAGA, etc.
Another one from Donald J Trump subject: Georgia with full support for Handel.

Correct!! If pj boy wins, the it will give the dems a new lease on ugliness and think they have a right to do so.
You make good points, I agree with you but Handel, like Trump, must be put in context. But I am a voter who went from Walker to Rubio to Cruz to Trump; he’s not perfect and I don’t like his Syria policy or the way he has been too slow in replacing the Obamacrats. Nonetheless, Trump brings about 70 percent of what I want to the table which is 69.9 percent more than we would have gotten with Hillary. The only crumb she (and her congressional supporters) would have thrown to conservatives would have been to invite George Will to breakfast once a year. no thanks.
If she wins by less than 5%, they are also prepared to paint that as a close call that somehow also threatens Trump. Then, back to RUSSIA!!!

I think Quayle was not originally GOP-e but couldn’t escape then once he was GHWB’s VP.
