With less than two weeks left before his early exit from Congress, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) trashed President Trump and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a no-holds-barred interview.
Chaffetz — an ardent Obama critic who withdrew his Trump endorsement weeks before the 2016 election — said he thinks the new administration is already doing a worse job with transparency and helping congressional investigations.
“The reality is, sadly, I don't see much difference between the Trump administration and the Obama administration,” Chaffetz told the Sinclair Broadcast Group on Sunday.
“I thought there would be this, these floodgates would open up with all the documents we wanted from the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Pentagon. In many ways, it's almost worse because we're getting nothing, and that's terribly frustrating.”

You’re leaving Chaffetz, you wimped out early in a 2 year term to which you were ELECTED by voters. You are reneging on your basic commitments to your voters and to our nation. I don’t really care what you have to say anymore. You couldn’t even finish a TWO year term and get something done for America ????!!!!

Question. What “paperwork” and “emails” would the Trump State Department be withholding at this point? I mean, there can’t be that much already. He’s been in office for five freaking months. Isn’t the investigation based on stuff that happened BEFORE he took office? Wouldn’t the majority of these materials be in the authorship and hands of people who were in charge during the Obama administration? What am I missing?

Chaffetz is a man completely devoid of principles & honor. And to think I at one time hoped he would replace Hatch; dodged a bullet on that one.
I don’t know what it is but there is something missing from this “story”. His sudden resignation does NOT pass the smell test.
