Anger over the Grenfell Tower disaster could lead to riots on the streets, it has been claimed.
The horrific fire, which has left at least 30 people dead, has left the local community angry and frustrated.
Politicians including Sadiq Khan have been heckled at the scene and locals even shouted "where are you going?" as the Queen and Prince William left the site today.
And hundreds of people are expected to attend a 'justice' rally in central London tonight.
Now, a local councillor has warned there could be "unrest in the streets" if council chiefs don't step in.
Eartha Pond said that if local authority doesn't act quickly, civil unrest could erupt.

I’ve read that many, but not all, of the residents are Muslims. It is also Ramadan which requires not eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset. That’s pretty tough when Ramadan falls in the summer and even worse with a high-latitude location like London. Right now daylight is over 16 hours long with sunset coming after 9 pm.
So lots of cooking would have been going on at the time with the cooks being peckish and grumpy from the long fast. Easy to see an accident happening under those circumstances and with the recent “improvements” turning a kitchen fire into a raging inferno.
I believe the new polite term in the UK is “Social Housing” for these buildings owned and/or paid for by the local councils.
Thought provoking. Have the same worry about massive numbers of Easterners arriving on our shores who have a cultural history opposite to Western Civilization where free will and independent, rational thought was its basis (see tagline).
I know the exterior cladding caught fire, but has the cause or the location of the initial fire been determined?
No matter how fast the exterior fire spread, there had to be a smoke-free fire stairwell on the opposite side of the building where most of the residents could have escaped.
Plus, don't London buildings (this one was just refurbished) require smoke alarms and sprinklers?
Until proved otherwise, this looks like ISIS terrorism, or deliberate arson by a disgruntled resident, to me.
London is no longer a part of England. Get outside the city and you will be told that. The big cities in western Europe have been turned into EU Cosmopolitan Death Traps.
Chanting ‘we want justice’, protesters storm town hall after deadly London fire
My sister’s new Miami condo lost much of its shine a few days after purchase. Her upstairs neighbor would dump burning charcoal over the rail after dinner! It was...Diversity...
Thank you. It’s scary how some people here think 100 people who were poor and in subsidized housing is no big deal
Or even “It’s a good beginning.”
Like abortion, incidents like this do not call into question the victims’ humanity, but our own.
They haven’t determined a cause. Or if they have, they haven’t said so officially.
Three questions: 1)What started the fire, 2) What caused the fire to spread so rapidly? 3) Why did tenants remain in their flats past the point they could escape or be rescued?
Only 1 central stairwell. No sprinklers or alarm system. Council excused this by saying tenants didn’t want to be inconvenienced. No word on if the building’s electrical system was up to code.
My bets: electrical fire, drug lab.
Actually I just heard that the company doing the work on the building as focusing on GREEN ENERGY.
I read in the Daily Mail, that one woman who was told to remain in her flat, flooded her entire apartment with water from the bathroom tub. Not sure if that is what saved her, but her and her children survived the fire.
I was wondering because I was thinking that starting fires in high rises would be a pretty effective terrorist tactic.
Re: “Only 1 central stairwell. No sprinklers or alarm system.”
Thanks for the update.
I had no idea.
That is truly shocking.
