Agreed. Putin does not love America, and he is not our friend. However, our interests coincide with Russia's in several areas and he would do his best for Russia and thus for America in those areas. Today's Ctrl-Left viscerally hates America and will do everything possible to harm America in any way they can. It's no contest - Putin wins.
There’s a big difference between being adversaries and being enemies. Adversaries can work together on shared interests, enemies want to annihilate one another. Neither Putin nor any other leader can be blamed for putting his nation’s interests first - that’s what leaders are supposed to do. Sometimes those interests will align with America’s, sometimes they won’t. Both Trump and Putin understand this Realpolitik - liberals and neoconservatives who want a utopian, globalist New World Order do not.
Ctrl-Left is what is left over from the soviets.
I think a big part of the problem is that so much of this anti-American rhetoric is coming from foreigners and foreign interests. There has got to be reform of the media. This sh!te can not go on forever.
