Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is urging Republicans to defend special counsel Robert Mueller amid a new wave of criticism from some prominent conservatives of the person leading the probe into Russia's election interference.
"I’d urge that these attacks on Mr. Mueller be ceased, and that my friends on the other side of the aisle join me in defending his reputation. The critics are going a little too far here," Schumer said from the Senate floor.
Schumer added that if President Trump is weighing asking Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to fire Mueller, he should "look back in time and see what happened to a president who tried to do the same thing."
"If the White House truly has nothing to hide, they ought to encourage special counsel Mueller to investigate. They should let him do his job. When people say when there’s smoke, there’s fire, they’re pointing to actions like this, and it makes the American people distrustful of the White House and their allies," he said.

Mueller needs to recuse himself since Comey is his BFF who recently lost his cushy government job because of PRESIDENT Trump. It “looks bad” for Mueller to continue.

Schumer’s name is on a long list of people up there who must be tried for treason and imprisoned.
I look at it this way. The DEMs called for the firing of Comey, and look where that landed them in the long run. Now they are defending Mueller. When was the last time Schumer was on the right side of an issue?
Schumer has been doing it since the very beginning. Very telling.

Jeff Sessions is currently being torn apart over a fabricated story, and his reputation on both sides was exceptional until the Dems lost their minds in November. What do you have to say about his reputation, Chuckie?
There is now more reason for Meuller to recuse himself than there was for Jeff Sessions.
It goes far beyond “looking bad” for Mueller to remain as special prosecutor because he and Comey are joined at the hip. It is against the law that allows for a special prosecutor. If the Republicans are sporting anything but a pair of miniature marshmallows, collectively, they will force Mueller to resign.
The American people recognize what's going on here.....but the question remains does Mueller really want to sink into the swamp or save face and recuse himself.
