German fridge - good.
500 is a lot of people. I am noting confusion in the reports - some say fire started on lower floor - like the 4th - and spread up and others report fire started high - like 24th floor - and spread down. I’m thinking the former makes more sense.
And on a totally only marginally related note, bringing propane absorption refrigerators to mind (even though that is not what your explosive ‘fridges are) has caused me to investigate whether we want to add such a device to our collection of ‘camping’ things - we added a propane water heater and demand water pump for our shower maybe three or four years ago. It has been a wise investment. The problem with adding a propane fridge is that you can buy a lot of bags of ice for the asking price of one if them.. ;-) And it might only get used for one week a year..
The images in the reports today have shown it starting low and burning rapidly up one side of the building before enveloping it.
Will keep ears open tomorrow. Must go. ZZZZZZzzzzzzz
With regards to the fridge:
Have you wished you’d had it on previous expeditions? If so , a fridge it is.
All of the Camper Vans I’ve used in NZ had an Electric Fridge, run from the domestic battery.
