That’s the point that these media fools are missing - even the Warriors PR staff pointed this out to them in the face of these articles.
Their prerogative on not visiting the WH. But it’s pretty lame when you have to proactively decline an invitation that hasn’t even been issued. Reeks of desperate attention-seeking in order to gin up your lame base.

I think they would have to be invited first to turn down the invitation. I don’t recall one being uttered from the white house, so F em.

In this case, I’d say the word fits, dictionary-wise.

Building "The Wall" and repealing ObamaCare are a full time job.DJT had time to meet *true* champions (NE Patriots) but just can't pencil in a bunch of overpaid pituitary cases.
But the PeaceMakers ("Warriors" sounds so...violent) can have a celebration in one of San Fransiko's many gay bath houses instead.

If they had actual CLASS they would go but of course these are NBA players, they have NO CLASS..it was like rooting for the lesser of two evils last night..hate the Warriors, can’t stand the Cavs..both teams full of douche bags
To: Snickering Hound
I hope that is not true. Very disappointing if true, and if true, lowers my opinion of this team specifically, and the NBA and basketball in general, which has become a kind of “third-world” sport.

I'm willing to be the team hasn't even been invited to the White House. LOL.
Let them visit North Korea with Dennis Rodman instead.

Isn’t this like advertiser lists proudly boycotting shows they never purchased time on in the first place?
How can you turn down an invite that was never proffered?

Look, we all know the NBA is a losing game. More people watched the Comey hearings than watched the finals.

Average viewership of this year's NBA Championships was about two-thirds of what it typically was 15-20 years.Soon the NBA will go the way of Roller Derby.

I see this as a tremendous opportunity for President Trump. He can do the following:
1. Pick a random date on the calendar in the next two months where he doesn't have any major commitments.
2. Pretend that this was the date he was hoping to meet with the NBA champions.
3. Publicly announce that since they don't want to come to the White House, he's going to hit the road and hold a rally on that date in a Rust Belt state where people appreciate the hard work it takes to Make America Great Again!
