Herkimer is a nice town. It’s not particularly rich, but this isn’t a ghetto thing.

Pit bulls were once a good breed, but over many decades, they’ve been bred by unscrupulous breeders to be vicious. Really can’t trust them unless you have had the same line for generations.
Many people cc everywhere in my area which imo makes it fairly civil here. So over Christmas a young man visited family with his pit. It got away from him and charged me and my dogs. He was across the street and diving on the dog in a nanosecond. I thought I was goingto kill it and had I been carrying, I would have.
But here is where physcotic dog meets stupid owner...the very next day he and his dad were playing with the dog off leash on the sidewalk. I screamed at them to put that f’ing dog on a leash. It’s only a matter of time with that one.

I live in Herkimer, this happened on N. Main St where mostly thugs, criminals, drug addicts,and sexual perverts live. Mostly white trash. Many have pit bulls as pets. They allow the dogs to defecate on the pavement and do not bother to clean it up. The person responsible left the 2 pit bulls unleashed on the street, where they attacked the kids. He was also wanted in another village for a crime.
It’s always the owners. I have a Staffordshire Terrier, a “pit bull” breed. We trained him from puppyhood, be we keep him in a fenced yard, inside the house or on a lead.
This idiot raised dogs without proper training and was negligent in letting them get free. He needs to go to jail, and unfortunately the dogs should be put down.
