how did this kid get a Top Secret security clearance!? Contrast the current adjudicative guidelines from ICPG 704.2 with the former ones from DoD 5200.02-R:
Note that the current guidelines exclude those with "sympathy for" while the former ones required "involvement in". She could post all she wanted on social media with the prior guidelines...as long as she didn't actually crack heads, she was eligible. Under the current guidelines, if she even sympathizes with these groups, she would no longer be eligible for access.
Hopefully as clearances are re-adjudicated as a result of the periodic re-investigation requirement, they'll be able to weed out a whole lot of hard core leftists within the government (and specifically within the IC).

how did this kid get a Top Secret security clearance!? I read last night that she was an Arabic translator when she served in the Air Force. That experience probably opened the door for her.

how did this kid get a Top Secret security clearance!?The clearance was for her career field in the AF. She likely didn't have a history before she was 18 when it would have been investigated/adjudicated. That's one of the problems with kids coming in and going directly to Top Secret/SCI jobs - they haven't had time for a history to be documented.
