People at the scene have claimed the incident is a "terrorist attack".
Twitter users have suggested seeing "bodies" at the scene.
Reporters for Daily Star Online have seen people fleeing the scene and running away from the bridge in tears.
Police have cordoned off the area as they deal with the incident.
Emergency helicopters, ambulances and police cars have all been sighted in the area.

I heard it was 5 armed men and that 3 of them were shot. In Britain, for civilians, carrying a weapon in a public place, or anything that could be used as a weapon (with the intent to do so), is a felony.
If 5 enraged lunatics suddenly start hacking people to death with machetes or carving knives and you are close by with your family or partner are you going to go and take them on unarmed? Especially, if one, or more, of them have bomb-like items strapped to themselves.

I like the way Dennis Prager states it. We are not at war with Muslims. We are at war with Islamists. Anyone who wants Islam to rule the world, anyone who wants you to convert or die, is our sworn enemy. A Muslim who just wishes to practice his religion alone and not bother anyone, is not our enemy.

well thank goodness for that! I wonder if they tried that first, and were frightened off by the heavy security? The authorities will know which direction they came from by tomorrow - it is the city of cameras.
The rest are at best 'cultural Muslims' who don't really don't believe in the religion, but go along to keep up appearances.
