yes, there would be a reaction; but do you seriously think the level of described hysteria would be it, or that he’s that out of touch with his father to not know it to be an obvious fake...?
It isn’t the continued reaction but the immediate visceral reaction which is the worst. I have seen most of the beheading videos and they all get to me, right from the beginning. And I am not some 11 year old who doesn’t know the score.
