My Dad passed away today after his six-week battle with lung cancer. I hope to see him again in Heaven. His last words to me, sent in a text yesterday, were “still fighting.”
He was to be admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon, due to extreme weakness and dehydration. However, he collapsed at the Anne Arundel medical center. He briefly lost his pulse, but was resuscitated and immediately rushed to the hospital. He never regained consciousness, but before he collapsed, he kept repeating that he did not want extreme measures to keep him alive, so we respected his wishes. He passed away today, about 24 hours after he collapsed.
We pray to God for the outcomes that we want, but sometimes, sadly, the answer is no. He does things in His own way. Now Dad is with Him.
He is in Jehovah’s memory and awaiting the resurrection hope. Sorry for your loss and may the memories you have sustain your family at this time.
My most heartfelt condolences. And prayers for you and your familiy.
Deepest sympathies and prayers on the loss of your beloved father.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers sent for you and the family. Dad is at peace now. He no longer has to fight. He is comfortable now.
Prayers for your beloved Father and his loved ones.
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss!
I’m sorry for your loss. His last breath here was his first with The Lord. It’s not easy watching a parent leave this world. In February my Mom had a Stroke she survived. By March it had advanced into what seemed to be a fast acting form of Dementia and in April she was gone.
So sorry Tolerance Sucks Rocks,Eternal rest.((((Hugs))))
You and your dad are wonderfully courageous. My prayers and heartfelt condolences.
Leni
We pray that your family will be comforted by the Holy Spirit. We pray that you will have peace to know that your Dad is in the company of the Heavenly Host and will no longer sorrow or pain, but will know a love and a joy so great that it cannot be experienced on this side. We lift your family up, that your faith and peace be multiplied.
in Jesus’ name we do pray
I am so sad to hear about your father’s passing. My prayers to you and your family during your time of grief. Thank God for the years you were able to be with him. I lost my dad when I was 13. Only 13 years but a life time worth of good memories.
