Actually, the House Oversight Committee has 40 members: 24 Rs and 18 Ds.
With 7 sub-committees, I suppose it is not too surprising that they have a big staff. But it is scandalous if they really allow almost all of that staff to be Democrats. Just insane.

42 members, duh, I was leaving out the Co-Chairs in my overall count
Part of the problem is that how many conservatives actually want to do the job? Conservatives, by nature, have a disdain for government, whereas to liberals, government is the “be all, end all” of their existence.
I suspect this story is wrong but wouldn’t be shocked if it is true.
Since government workers tend to believe that government is the answer, they typically want more of it. So it's almost natural that they'd tend to be Democrats. But Democrats are no longer the loyal opposition; they are now the ENEMY.
Are you sure? Article said only 24 REGISTERED Republicans.
I’m betting you’re assuming that because the House Rs appoint 24 people they are all Rs, and I bet they are registered Ds.
