It is possible that you are right and Gowdy is a phony. But let me ask you, how can anyone in Gowdy's position "get any results" when the only power he has is to investigate? Gowdy has uncovered plenty of criminal activity, but a Congressional committee cannot indict anybody. Only the Justice Department can "get any results" by bringing criminal charges, and Obama's DOJ has steadfastly refused to act against its own fellow travelers. Now it is up to President Trump and AG Sessions to get results.

The Gowdy bashers on FR cannot understand that he has no ability to arrest Hillary, Rice, etc. and put them in jail. Without his work in committee, Hillarys private server may still be private. He has done a great job.

Hearings are sources of information used to develop legislation. Your point about the DOJ must be repeated over and over in order to be
understood by those here who constantly bash the congress as ineffective.
